This is one of the best hotel experience we had. The room is spacious and has plenty surfaces and drawers. The suite is so convenient for two of us to work or dine during our stay. The hotel provided complimentary breakfast and diner (diner was from Monday through Thursday), and 24 hour coffee/tea. The staff were very polite, friendly, and helpful. We'd stay at Homewood Suites again.

It is minutes from World Renowned Longwood Gardens, Chadds Ford Village, (the Conservancy now offers over 5 miles of hiking/walking trails) Minutes from Andrew Wyeth Home, Brandywine River Museum, Brandywine Battlefield, Wineries, 5-star restaurants, shopping, AND it sits on the same property as the #1 Antique Shop in Chester County.The spacePlease read! So much to say about this historic space! Pull up to the private drive with room for 3+ cars. In the summer months relax on the deck or swing on the tire swing. Inside the eat-in kitchen has everything you need to prep a meal. The living room has a comfy sofa & chair, a chest full of games ready to be put to use. Netflix is available as well. The bathroom features a tub ready for you to soak it all in and relax! Two bedrooms are on the first floor and the third is a loft-style space. It will be hard to choose!****Please note you have to walk through the main bedroom to get to the loft. The main is right off the living room. The second bedroom is attached to the main bedroom and the bathroom. This is a small cottage. If you want bedrooms that are far away from each other this place is not for you. There are window units, not central air.****Cool Fact: The Painter family built this house in the late 1700's. It used to sit on a horse farm. The William Painter farm is nearby and used to be a stop on the Underground Railroad.*There are a lot of steps to access the property. For us the location was great! The rooms were clean and the beds and pillows were very comfortable. Service, for the most part, was very good, with the only exception being the gentleman who manned the front desk on arrival. Not friendly at all. It felt like we were an interruption. Breakfast was your standard fair. Scrambled, powdered eggs and sausage or bacon, and make your own waffles. Coffee, juice choices, bagels, and packaged sweets. It was good and it does make for a fast and convenient meal. The WIFI on our floor was horrible! In this day in age, this is unacceptable! I ended up using the computer by the breakfast area to set up our outgoing flight! The building is becoming dated but, there was construction going on so perhaps they are updating. The bathroom did not have a fan or any towel racks. Unfortunately, it appears that people have been using the shower curtain rod as it is tilted downward and you really need to make adjustments to avoid a wet floor. There are no handles for the physically impaired. Getting in and out of this slippery bathtub is difficult. Our toilet tank had a leak and frequently had to reload water. Finally, the HVAV is good and it is also loud. But if you have traveled a lot, this is fairly common. An extra note. We decided that we really didn't need a rental and would use Lyft/Uber. It worked well but there is rarely a car nearby. We made sure we allowed time to get picked. Because of its location and that it was typical of a hotel of this ranking, I would stay there again.

The facilities are satisfactory and clean, but they asked me to take $60 separately, but I don't know what it is. At other places, I canceled it right away when I left, saying it was damaged, but they didn't cancel and didn't give me a receipt, so I had to charge a travel fee, but the soundproofing seemed a little weak. Other than that, it was good.

26 may 24 1536 GMT (re Brandywine Room # 212 May 24 2024) I was never supplied (either by email or by text) with the code to get through the the front door and to then access my room. That's bizarre. There was no small complimentary tube of toothpaste. The AirCo was set to ”Eco”: which meant that it cycled on-and-on and off thoughout the night with a loud rumbling each time. The AirCo is supposed to be ”white noise” in the background - runnnig constantly in the background. The breakfast was amateurish.

It was the only twin room that cost less than $1,000 and included breakfast. Other rooms were less than $1,500 a day. It was great value for money!

Good location, McDonald's nearby, easy to eat, and close to University of Delaware. I heard that there are transportation cars, and it is easy to go. The room is large and is an ensuite. The sofa can also be turned over as a bed. Very suitable for families. The bed was large and comfortable to sleep. Breakfast was good too. Insufficient is the service in general, I once forgot to take bath towels. The equipment is slightly old and the bath water is not great. Shampoo and other supplies are general, it is recommended to bring or buy it yourself.

The location was great to get right off the highway and be there. Even being close to the road we could not hear traffic movie in the room. The front desk staff was very friendly at check in. The king room was very spacious and clean. The shower curtain does not cover even entire shower though. This resulted in the bathroom floor being covered in water after a shower. The breakfast selection was nice and there was a variety of items to choose from. Overall would recommend this hotel and we would book here again.
