a great stay at Meru suites. huge rooms, friendly staff that will go the extra mile for a service for customers. great team, clean rooms as well. Quiet at night making it a wonderful stay. Only downside is the location as it is situated a 15mins drive away from town, but for such a wonderful stay I would not mind to come back here again.

I quite admire the Hotel effort to make the place lively with the music live session at night.  The place is quite nearby to lotsa nice local food. The breakfast is sincerely serve from the heart by the management. Meaning with this kind of prices, the management still try to get quality food dish out.  Overall, I like the management for putting in a very strong effort and with the kind of charges to travelers, heck…. I would give them a thumbs up. Definitely I will come back again.

The look and feel of Sarang Paloh is lovely. It has an old world style which we loved. The location is also great, ten minutes from the station and close to lots of restaurants and spots in the old town. The room has a nice style to it as does the garden you walk through. The room facilities were lacking, with no fridge and no safe which we would expect at this price point. Hot water in the shower doesn’t last long and they provide a 3 in 1 body wash, shampoo and conditioner, again something we wouldn’t expect at this price point. The hotel also doesn’t offer room cleaning. This may have been because we stayed for two nights only but this is not communicated on the website or at check in. This meant used cups or water bottles aren’t cleared nor is the rubbish bin emptied. We were also not made aware of locally available discounts for staying at the hotel. All in all an ok stay but several small things made this not value for the money we paid.

Before checking in, the hotel sent us a guide in advance. The check-in rules stipulate that the mailbox pickup password and key box password will be sent before 3 pm. Check-in was relatively smooth, but there was no place to store luggage, so we had to wait with our luggage. I was not satisfied with the rooftop swimming pool. When I arrived at the hotel downstairs, I saw a notice saying that it was under maintenance. A large part of the reason for booking was that I saw this swimming pool. The treadmill in the gym was very old, there was no air conditioning in the gym, and the electric fan was not powered. It was basically useless... It was very hot and I couldn't stay there for a few minutes; the room facilities were quite warm, the table was fully equipped with dishes, knives, forks and spoons, and there were air conditioners and electric fans in each room; I was not satisfied with the shower in the bathroom. It was burned for a long time, but the bath water was still very warm, and it was even cold when washing hair. There was no toothbrush and toothpaste, and there was only an empty box for the hair dryer, but no hair dryer; the toilet was wiped several times with wet wipes, and it was black after wiping, and the hygiene and cleaning needs to be improved.

There is sort of a lounge or seating area outside our rooms. There is complimentary tea, coffee, water and snacks throughout the day there. It is a very comfortable place to sit and chat. We also had our takeaway supper there. Hotel also offers one complimentary afternoon tea. Hotel is surprisingly modern, nice and clean.

I saw this new hotel on BOOKING and made a reservation on Ctrip. Because it is a new hotel, there is little information, so I was a little nervous before checking in. But fortunately, compared to the price, this is a very cost-effective place to live. The front desk is two good-tempered boys and a very gentlemanly elder. They will patiently answer your questions, but they don’t seem to be very familiar with the surroundings. The room is very small. Even if you book a relatively expensive double room, the layout is reasonable and you won’t feel cramped. Of course, the best thing is new! Everything looks brand new and makes people feel very clean. But it’s a bit regrettable that the water heater has a small power, it’s difficult to get a comfortable temperature, and the air conditioner is facing the bedside, which is a bit of a headache at night. The White House Chicken Shop on the right side of the hotel is very delicious, and there is a very delicious Li Rongji Jerky Shop on the left. The hotel is very close to Tangshui Street and Xinheji. There is also a night market dominated by Malays nearby, and street massage is cheap and comfortable. On Sundays, it’s only a few minutes’ walk to the weekend market. In short, it’s worth recommending.

Overall okay for one night stay only. But few things wanna highlight to management. (1) The main door electronic lock is out of battery, it is very hard to unlock the door. (2) The vacuum is full of dust and hair and why never clear when guests check in. (3) The bathroom floor need to do something as it is very slippery and nothing can be put on to avoid it. I think management also doesn't hope to receive any bad news from client. (4) The second bathroom's bathroom shelves and racks is almost drop down, the management should randomly check the house condition to keep good quality. Lastly, this is not related to management and unit quality. The Anderson Residence is really a low cost condominium, the management is very suck and fail to maintain the condominium. The lift is so dirty and poor, the parking is so dark and full of dust, the wall defect is FAILED, the unit sound proof is FAILED! To be honest, its a worst housing project.

Hotel is conviently located within walking distance to many eateries. There is no lift facilities in this place, as such will be difficult for travellers with large luggages to bring upstairs. Another setback for this hotel is there is no private parking facilities available. Only street parking and difficult to get one during office hours.

This is my third time staying at this hotel. The location is very strategic but to my surprise this visit was not so pleasant. My mum & myself checked in late night & when we flush the toilet bowl the water sound won’t stop until like 5 minutes. I called reception & the lady informed me that their maintenance are off work and the room they have only double bed. Since it was really late I didn’t want to change any room so decided to stay back. The shower was not good as the water temperature will suddenly turn cold and hot.

Super nice apartment. The only drawbacks, rooftop pool is close during our visit. Trip.com or host need to make an announcement on this platform before guests make any booking. The facilities and the service in the hostel are good. The room condition is subjective. 1. The damage is not fixed before opening for the next customer use. Not affect the use of the room but is a bad presentation. 2. The curtain rail rack for the lower bed is not concealed, with a screw expose could cause the upper bed user easily get cut which happen to my daughter. 3. When renovation works are off, there is no immediate cleaning of the common area cause the whole place dusty especially the floor. I think the cleaner did come in to mop the floor later. 4. The noise from the neighboring nightclub hopefully they can be off before 2 am.

Situated at a very good location. Abt 5 mins walk to Lou Wong Tauge in and 5 mins to Tong Shui Kai. Owner of Bedrock is a friendly Chinese lady who tells U where U can find good food n massage. Opp there's a coffee shop called Chee Wah that opens at 5pm every Fro to Tuesday that sell only 2 items. ( Lau Shui Fen n fried chicken wings) Both good. Massage (Zuni) recommended also good and there's a 10% discount from 1-5pm.

Dont judge a book by its cover. Outside may look shady but inside so pretty. Even this budget hotel is better than 3 stars hotel i stay before. The room & toilet is clean. They even have smart doorlock & android tv. I can finally watch my favourite show on youtube👍 (and karaoke too but please be mindful la, dont be so loud hahah) say goodbye to the mainstream hotel channel.
