Location was great, easy walking distance to a lot of places of interest. Front office and club lounge staff were friendly, informative. I love that they welcome you using whatsapp and you can text them for any assistance. Also top of the list was the 24 hour room service, as I checked in late and room service was available 👍🏻. They advocate green initiatives in the room and since I was staying by alone, i didn’t need daily housekeeping services.

Picked this hotel cause it is located along the New Lane Street Foodstalls. Zim Sum restaurant, Dking Penang, No. 5 CKT & the famous Sister Yao's Char Koay Kak just within walking distance. Check-in after 3pm. You may drop your luggage bag at the concierge. Check-in at the kiosk requires assistance from the hotel staff as different booking numbers were assigned. You need to insert your nric, get your face captured & make RM6 pymt (TnGo/CC) before the room card issue. I appreciate the hotel staff, Mr Hasan, for assisting me to get my room card as my room is not yet ready at 2.55pm. There's a travel kiosk located inside the hotel if you need a day trip or car to the airport. There's 3 lifts in the hotel that require room card to access. The room & the restroom are spacious & clean. I was given a connecting room. Luckily, no one stayed next door. The shower room water pressure is strong. It's a traditional toilet bowl with a bidet hose on the wall. The bed is a bit uncomfortable as i can almost feel the mattress spring. 2 medium-firm pillows for each bed. The blanket is a bit short as it reaches my chest only (165cm height). Basic amenities at the coffee table & toiletries are provided. Additional will be the iron & ironing board inside the cabinet. TV has local, overseas & youtube channels. The remote control is hard to use. The volume is set very low. Need subtitles or lip reading if you rest at the bed. Overall, it's a comfortable 2 night stay as i visited on normal days. No crowds and everything is smooth. Check-in & checkout during peak or festival season might take longer due to the hotel procedures.

The stay itself was quite pleasant, the room was clean and comfortable. However, the check-in and check-out experiences could have been better. Upon arrival at the reception, I informed the staff that I had a room booking, but was met with silence and no greeting or acknowledgment. His demeanor felt cold and unwelcoming. During check-out, I inquired whether we had paid a deposit. He insisted we show a receipt, which led me to search anxiously through my belongings, only to realize that no receipt had been provided to us at the time of check-in. Overall, the customer service by the staff (foreign guy) could be improved for a more hospitable experience. That said, I would like to commend one of the night staff members, an Indian lady named Nava (if I’m not mistaken). She was incredibly warm, attentive, and kind. Her customer service truly stood out and made a difference in our stay. Thank you for your kindness, Nava.

Best hostel I’ve stayed in. Huge dorm. 36 beds. ( smaller dorms available). But you would never realise this as they are nicely spaced out and guests are respectful to the rules. Bathroom great. Showers fine. Lots to participate in reception area and great chill area with bean bags. Hikes, film nights, quiz, pool table. They do all sorts and you only have to put your name down on the board. There is no pressure. Staff are great. Super friendly and place is clean. Team work well to maintain this. Real good place to sit and chat with people or join them to create new memories. Highly recommend this place. Fantastic location

Room is modern and mostly quiet. There are wooden floor boards so you can hear people walking on them but it’s not a problem. I slept well here for 3 nights. Shared toilet/ showers take a bit of getting used to as the floor is always wet from people taking showers. Need plastic slippers or flip flops for nighttime toilet visits because of this. But the price is good and the communal areas and facilities are good. Fridge, microwave, hot water. Only real complaint is there is no response if you have a problem, or a request. I asked about extending my stay and keeping the same room. No one responded. If you had a real problem I think you’d be on your own.

The accommodation does not have a reception. You have to contact the accommodation via email only. Check-in must be done via the website. It was a bit busy before the check-in. However, the accommodation has a sample clip to watch. It's not that difficult. The location is in the center of the city, a tourist zone. You can walk anywhere. I recommend it. (If you come with elderly people, I don't recommend it much because the stairs to the room are quite steep and high.) The twin bed room is bigger than I thought. It's new, clean, and quiet. I slept very comfortably. The only problem is that the air conditioner is very high. The ceiling is also high, so it cools down very slowly. The accommodation has wifi, towels, and water/snacks. My second time with this hotel. The only issue I have with this hotel is its narrow ramps in the hotel parking. If your car is too big, you may need to be extra careful so as not to scrape the side of your car I would like to suggest that the hotel sticks rubber at the side of the ramps so as to reduce the scrapping (damage) to the bigger cars. One thing about Penang I dislike is the traffic congestion 😥 Cititel is the hotel we’ll stay whenever we’re in Penang. Roti Canai Jalan Transfer just walking distance. Famous Sup Hameed just a few doors. Since we’re regular to this hotel, our room was upgraded to sea-view room during this visit. In fact all the rooms were refurbished. Amenities include self-service laundry, massage place, and also a cafe situated in the lobby itself. Superb. The uncle at the counter however is not very friendly. On the last day of my stay, I could not sleep as there is a machine-gun like metal sound outside my window. It is nearby the hotel. I called reception. Same Uncle answered. He say there is no such noise downstairs. He could have investigated, or even come up to my room to find out where it is coming from but instead he did nothing. Noise continued for an hour until it subsided. Shaking my head at the service.

The long and narrow room is divided into a bedroom and a tea room. The corridor in the middle is a small and independent toilet that is difficult to turn around. The guy who helped open the door and gave us the keys was an Indian guy who only spoke simple English. He asked us to contact the housekeeper through what's app if we had any questions. There is no on-site staff service, and there is no immediate response when I encounter problems. In addition, I accidentally discovered that the price of the room I booked a month in advance was actually higher than that of the same period within a week.
