Great location with bus stop right in front of us. We got lake view, which was quite nice too. Breakfast was okay, bbq dinner was great. Staff was very kind and helpful. We eat less beef, and they were able to arrange more chicken for us the next day. Couldn’t try out the public bath and wine tasting due to the kids. The only thing was no laundry service available. Overall it was a great stay. Thank you!

The hotel can see Mount Fuji when you go out, great! The family who runs this hotel is not very English, but warm enough. So far this is the most expansive room I booked, come with front view of Mt Fuji, room 412. However the Mt Fuji view did not command the price tag because unless you stay in for the whole day to enjoy the view of Mt Fuji. View of Mt Fuji can enjoy from all angle. Best of the hotel is the coffee serve which is the best so far, among dozen of hotels. The welcome drink of soft drink also last till 7pm, which is shorter that most of other hotel. May be I am biased, where the hotel have multiple accolades from Rakuten Travel, catering to a lot of local Japanese clients. The public bath also not great, where I have experience much better and real onsen at Ariman Onsen area. Area of improvement: 1. In the level one inner bath, there is a cover for the exhaust fan and is not mounted back after maintenance. 2. At the fifth level bath, there is one washing cubicle just besides the bath with no cover to prevent the person showering water into the bath.

Over all worst trip experienced in Japan after same to the country so many times. We miss the paid dinner by a hour. No refund or not even try to reserve any dinner for us. We thought, ok it’s mainly fault missing the dinner time. It starts getting bad after we checked in, It’s super cold during the winter time and the heating source are either from the kerosene heater or the AC. For AC it’s basically only blowing out cool air after turned “heating” for over 30min. Then we decided to turn on kerosene. The smell becomes unbearable after 20-40min.! Then it starts beeping with a sign “ventilation” we had to open the door to let he smell of engine oil out. Barely slept the night during to the smell and coldness. They in the morning around 10, here comes the check out time. We felt quite violated through out and quite inconsiderate service, the front desk seems very polite but a bit mean somehow. The elderly gentle man at the desk was nice and helpful. But for rest (most) of the faculties, For this very fake politeness not even any genuine sense of“trying to make it better”. Not really recommended.

The most satisfying hotel on this trip. I stayed in the presidential suite. When I got off the car, I saw the waiter waiting in the parking lot with the check-in form. The room was super large, with its own yard and outdoor hot spring bath. The water quality and temperature were very good. There was one more presidential suite in the lounge than in other guest rooms. Each guest room had its own dedicated restaurant for dining. The breakfast waiter was waiting outside the gate, waiting for us to come out and lead us to the restaurant. The service made you feel comfortable. Free drinks. Starbucks coffee, red and white wine, and various soft drinks, pick up in the lobby. It is very close to Kawaguchiko, just a few minutes' walk. I will consider staying here next time I come to Kawaguchiko.

For breakfast, you can choose between Japanese and Western options, and the curry is especially delicious. While the rooms are on the smaller side (a 24-inch suitcase might not fully open), they are thoughtfully designed and fully equipped with everything you need. The absolute best part is the complimentary shuttle bus! It runs frequently between the hotel and Kawaguchiko Station throughout the day. What's even better is that you can pre-book a shuttle to Mishima Station a day in advance – truly an amazing perk. I highly recommend this hotel for anyone visiting Kawaguchiko.

We stayed in a tatami room for five people. The room had a toilet, but no shower. Guests need to go to the 4th floor for showers. We hadn't booked breakfast, but the hotel recommended a nearby bakery. Just turn right out of the hotel and walk about 200m – their bread was absolutely delicious! The 4th floor also features restrooms, showers, and an onsen (hot spring bath), and if the weather is clear, you can even enjoy views of Mount Fuji from the soaking tub. Outside on the ground floor, there are coin-operated washing machines and dryers, so remember to bring some 100 yen coins. Check-out time is 10 AM. On a side note, there's a highly-rated restaurant nearby called ”Waka.” Their Tonkatsu Don (pork cutlet bowl) is excellent. We also tried the ”Xiao Tian Jing” (I believe that's the name), which is a set meal comprising two main dishes – one noodle dish and one tempura with rice – definitely enough for two people!

A B&B with a great experience. Independent Japanese-style villa with kitchen and living room. There are several restaurants within a few minutes' walk, and there is a bus stop at the door where you can take the red line to Lake Kawaguchi. It is very convenient, clean and tidy. Although the front desk does not speak English, they can communicate with the help of translation software. The disadvantage is that many windows do not have curtains, and the room does not block light when it is dawn, which affects sleep. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The property was comfortable, clean, and in a quieter location which we really liked, as it was away from the main town centre, but close to the lake that offers stunning views of Mt Fuji. And, there’s even a good view of Mt Fuji right from the property’s bathtub! The free arrival and departure shuttle (by request upon booking) was so helpful in accessing the property from the main train station. Bikes are provided with the property and there are local shops for purchasing food, plus good restaurants, all within walking distance. The owners respond quickly to questions. The house is equipped with wall-mounted smart controllers for running the hot water system, filling the bathtub etc, for which manuals are provided, but to save time we used Google translate to quickly identify the various control buttons. Also useful for operating appliances and remote controls, etc. Highly recommend this property and area.

Some quaint cafes and restaurants are located within the park. The accommodation also has some kitchen utensils which are very convenient if you are planning to cook for dinner or breakfast. Would definitely book this cottage again if I am planning to stay again in the area with friends.

We waited 20 minutes to get a table at breakfast, then when they finally gave us the table, they did not bring out our food which we’d pre ordered the day before. Our stay was comfortable and we enjoyed the onsen bath though it was man-made spring water. The Japanese breakfast was good too. Unfortunately the Mount Fuji was blocked by clouds during the rainy season. I would recommend the hotel to add a guest laundry room and more wall hooks for hanging clothes in the room. Thank You.

Extremely friendly owner and staff. My car battery died because I left the lights on without knowing it. The owner and staff helped me to start the car. Also Guyaume made great suggestions that was valuable to my trip. Everything is nice, well maintained just as commented by everyone else. Hands down best place ever visited. Top tier hostel worldwide. Oh and if you want to go to that signature Lawson for photo, stay here. It’s close enough to walk drive bike before sunrise so you get pink Fuji.

The most satisfying hotel on this trip. I stayed in the presidential suite. When I got off the car, I saw the waiter waiting in the parking lot with the check-in form. The room was super large, with its own yard and outdoor hot spring bath. The water quality and temperature were very good. There was one more presidential suite in the lounge than in other guest rooms. Each guest room had its own dedicated restaurant for dining. The breakfast waiter was waiting outside the gate, waiting for us to come out and lead us to the restaurant. The service made you feel comfortable. Free drinks. Starbucks coffee, red and white wine, and various soft drinks, pick up in the lobby. It is very close to Kawaguchiko, just a few minutes' walk. I will consider staying here next time I come to Kawaguchiko.

Although all communication is done through mobile phone translation, the staff are very patient and worthy of praise. 👍🏻 If you don’t know how to operate a BBQ stove, they will explain and demonstrate it. You can borrow a frying pan, a saucer machine, and a toaster. ⋯ Late check-out costs ¥2,000 for one hour. Worth experiencing👍🏻🎉
