lihuarlihuarThe hotel is very close to Sky Tower, and just a 5-minute walk to the airport bus stop. I didn't book their breakfast, but all guests get a 25% discount. As shown in the picture, it's NZ$25 after the discount, which is quite reasonable. One person probably can't finish it all. The room windows can't be opened at all. Even with the air conditioning on full blast, I could only feel a slight breeze, though the temperature was controllable. The facilities are very new and clean. It offers great value for money.

Needed an umbrella, directions to the nearest post office, and even tape, and the staff were always quick to help (they even delivered items to our room). Service was excellent and very attentive.
Location is great too, close to the city center, so getting around was easy. There’s also a casino upstairs.
Only small downside was that we got confused with another SkyCity property and accidentally went to the wrong one at first. Parking was also a bit tricky to find.MangguolaowanziMangguolaowanziThe hotel overall is quite good, similar to a Hilton Garden Inn back home in terms of convenience, cleanliness, and safety. The breakfast was decent too. You do have to get disposable toothbrushes from the front desk. However, the parking lot next to the hotel is extremely expensive! We parked for less than 12 hours (from 7 PM to before 10 AM the next day) and were charged 75 NZD! Please factor these costs into your room rate. The staff mentioned it was 59 NZD, but they didn't offer any parking discounts or assistance for hotel guests!

It was the longest stay during my New Zealand trip, and I even plan to stay here again before returning to Korea!Guest UserGuest UserWe arrived at around 10:30am and requested an early check in, as we had a 5:00am flight the following morning. We fully understood that the standard 1500pm check in time applied and that any early check-in was subject to room availability. We therefore appreciated the hotel accommodating us with a room at 1230pm. Unfortunately, the room was not ready to the standard we expected. We found an empty bottle on the floor, and the glass door/window could not be locked properly. Although, we requested a room change, we were informed that none were available at the time and maintenance advised that the lock would require drilling and screwing to repair. What disappointed us most was not the need for the repair itself, but how the situation was handled. The communication from the maintenance staff came across as abrupt when we were asked whether we wanted the repair carried out or not. We also felt greater consideration could have been given to guests, as drilling may not be suitable for those with allergies, asthma or sensitivities to dust or noise. Holiday inn has always been a brand I associate with consistent international standards, particularly from my experiences in South-East Asia. While we appreciated the hotel's flexibility in offering an early check-in, we do not believe this should come at the expense of basic expectations such as cleanliness, security, and a room that is ready for occupancy. Hopefully, this was an isolated incident rather than a reflection of the hotel's usual standards. Many guests arrive after long journeys simply looking forward to a clean, secure and comfortable place to rest. A little more thoughtfulness in both room readiness and communication would make a meaningful difference to the overall guest experience.

I've stayed here a few times, and I can honestly say it's the best value for money hotel so far. The facilities are very user-friendly, and the room has everything you need. The front desk service is spot on, hardly any issues.

One of the big highlights of this hotel is its very central location, making it easy to reach the city's main points of interest. It's an excellent option to kick off a stay in Auckland.
I also really appreciated the cleanliness of the premises and the kindness of the staff, who were always welcoming and helpful. The entire hotel is well-maintained and offers great value for money, especially considering its location.
The only real downside concerns the internet connection. As a digital nomad, I need a stable connection to work, and unfortunately, the hotel's Wi-Fi was very difficult to use. It was impossible for me to work properly with it. Luckily, I had bought a local SIM card at the airport with enough data, which allowed me to use my phone as a hotspot and continue working.
