This is very old hotel with rundown condition. Room WiFi service was not totally unable to connect throughout the stay. There was no lift and we have to manually carry our luggage. First day of arrive, we were give a room a third floor which totally unexpected without having a lift to carry out belongings manually. After request front desk staff, we were given another room at Hotel Air One which is next building to Hotel Canal and Walter. But there was no lift too and room TV was not working at all. Hotel Air One is extremely old and we didn’t see any guests at all. Next day, we managed to get a room at 1st floor in Hotel Canal and Walter. For family, I don’t recommend this hotel.

The hotel has no front desk. Remember to check in online in advance to know the door password and room password in advance. I didn't check in in advance and spent half an hour at the door. I called the customer service several times. The toilet is small, the toilet space is small, and it is difficult to use the toilet. I stayed for two days, and no one came to clean the room and change towels in the middle of the day. This is a bad review. The room environment is OK, the scenery is OK, and the hotel is located opposite the station. In general, it is better to book outside the island. It only takes 10 minutes to get to the island. The island is expensive and small, and there are boats near the river and it is noisy.

When traveling by yourself, the first priority is the location. Let's talk about the location first: It's 8-9 minutes' walk from Santa Lucia Station, which is OK. The only problem is that if you carry a large luggage, you have to cross a bridge, which is a bit painful, but the rest is fine. I feel a little nervous about the Jiangnan water town after playing around in Venice. In fact, it only takes half an hour to walk from the hotel to St. Mark's Square and the Doge's Palace. If you wander around a little bit, you can visit Venice in one day (not counting other island activities), so this location is completely no problem from the attractions, after all, you have to go around in circles. Let's talk about food and beverage: We didn't eat in the hotel, but went to mare magno across the river from the train station. I highly recommend this small restaurant. It was our first stay in Venice, the hotel is very well located a stone's throw from the bus station. The room is old and could do with a good refresh, the top of the toilet was not fixed, the shower was leaking and worst of all we spent a night in freezing cold, we had to ask for heating it was barely 15 degrees in the room!! In addition we had a power cut every evening and luckily a guest of the hotel intervened to restore the electricity otherwise we would have been left without electricity since there is no one there!! If we had not had all these inconveniences we would have had a good stay in Venice!

We had to catch a very early flight and we chose this hotel because of its proximity to Marco Polo airport. The hotel had charm: pleasant, very clean… we had dinner in the bar and highly recommended. We had wonderful baked pizzas. Finally, and very much appreciated, despite not having had breakfast, since we didn't have time, they had prepared us some coffees with buns to take to the airport.

However, it is not recommended for travelers with suitcases to walk, although the original picture has a good view. You can go out from the train station and take the bus line 5.2. I may not have bought the ticket properly, but it cost 9 euros to get from the hotel to the train station. The hotel is not very close or far from the shopping street. However, the walking navigation signal is easy to drift. After walking into many narrow alleys, you have to find a way out. The hotel room is small and the bathroom is large. The hotel does not provide toothbrushes. When I contacted the front desk, they said that the toothbrush was gone, which was very frustrating. The hotel is near the seaside. You can go there for a walk and have a cup of coffee in the morning. It's not bad either. The hotel recommended two restaurants: OGINA and which one is 50 meters straight on the right side of the hotel. OGINA Forget it, it's not that good. The other seafood restaurant was okay and the service was good. I ate there all day, but I had diarrhea the next morning. Maybe it was because I was lactose intolerant myself and ate a lot of cheese. The breakfast in the hotel is very basic. It costs 25 euros and 5 euros plus tax. I am not happy with the 29 euros. Overall, I spent 2,000 a night and enjoyed 3 stars in a first-tier domestic city. The room is a budget hotel, which basically meets the needs. I booked two triple rooms, one of which is a single room. It was very cold, and the whole room was actually cold. In recent years, this level of hotel generally has the problem of low indoor temperature in winter. The shower water is not very hot even when it is set to the hottest. There is nothing of quality for breakfast, but if you are not picky, you will definitely be full. I landed at Venice Marco Polo Airport at 6 pm the night before, took bus 15, Google navigation, two stops? Remember to press the car button, otherwise the driver will not stop even if you ask for directions. Get off and walk back 100 meters across the road is the hotel. I didn't figure out how to pay. I thought it was 1.5 euros per person, but I swiped my credit card and found that 10 euros were deducted. The next day, when we checked out at noon, the family decided to walk to the airport. Except for the road from the hotel to the roundabout time, there was no sidewalk (about 2/5 of the whole journey), everything else was fine. Otherwise, no matter where you go to the airport, no matter how many stops, the public transportation fare is 10 euros, and the taxi fare is 20 euros.

One of my favorite hotels in Venice, hits a great balance between price, location and room levels. The cannareggio area where the hotel is located is somewhat quitter and less crowded than San Marco and other touristic hotspot while being well connected in terms of footbridges and overall most touristic destinations and museums are less than 30 mins away on foot. Also few great bacari in the surroundings (typical venetian bars where you can enjoy a class of wine and have small bites) and a phenomenal artisanal gelato shop. Room was nice and relatively spacious by Venice standard, the hotel also offers an early check in service at a reasonable price that was particularly welcomed.
