The location of the hotel is really convenient (I decided to choose after watching the comments of the netizens in front of me), the facilities are simple but there is still some. The breakfast supply is a bit ”simple”, plus the ”simple” reception at check-in, is the deficiency (a blemish!)

My friend and I had a wonderful stay at the Hotel Blackfoot! When we were checking in, we told the man at the front desk that we were heading upstairs to play Kings Cribbage. He said, ”Why don't you come down and enjoy a Bailey's in the lounge, and we'll turn on the fire for you?” It was a lovely suggestion, and so we sat by the cozy fireplace, drank Baileys, and played Kings Cribbage until midnight. A wonderful memory for us!

The room is very spacious and can easily accommodate three to four large suitcases (opened). The room is also equipped with a microwave and a small refrigerator. The refrigerator is also very spacious and can hold more than six bottles of 1.5 liters of drinks! The bathroom was also spacious and even had an iron. The location is quite convenient. There is a bus stop outside the main entrance, and there is a light rail station just two or three minutes' walk away. It is about 15 minutes by public transportation to the city center and only 5-10 minutes by car to another large shopping mall. If you don't mind, I suggest you walk to the mall in 20 to 30 minutes (but if you really want to walk to the city center, it will take an hour, so it's not recommended), because there will be many different restaurants along the way, and there are even some fairly affordable Chinese restaurants (which are quite delicious!). Attached is a picture of the store between the hotel and the large shopping mall XD However, the only drawback is that there are no blackout curtains and the sound insulation is quite poor. When people in the rooms on the left and right or outside the door speak loudly, it is easy to hear them clearly, which has a bit of an impact. But overall very satisfied!

The hotel is ok, but the towels are a bit old. The room is moderate and comfortable. The buffet breakfast provided by the hotel is ok. There are not many varieties, but it is basically enough, unless you are too picky. The restaurant is not so high-end. It is in a semi-underground, and the dining environment is just a place to eat. The overall environment of the hotel is ok. It is on a main road with heavy traffic. It’s just that the hotel pictures are more magnificent. It’s not that big in reality, and it looks a little small. Especially the lobby, which is incomparable with the domestic ones. The size is similar to that of the lobby of a general express hotel. The facilities are acceptable, and it looks small and exquisite. The lobby provides a coffee machine, which is quite good, but it’s a pity that the hot cocoa and chocolate hot drinks are always insufficient, and you have to drink bitter coffee. The room is of moderate size, but the air conditioner is a bit noisy, and the whirring sound of the wind is not easy to accept for sensitive people. The hotel is equipped with a swimming pool, but it can only be called a pool. It is also small, suitable for playing in the water and not like a racetrack. In addition, the location is right in the city center, not far from anywhere, suitable for people who like to check in, and those attractions are within 2-4km. However, this is a huge cemetery area. There is a big slope behind the east side of the hotel, and it is an industrial area. Across the road on the north side of the hotel is the cemetery area. I thought it was the only one, but who knew that the west side of this cemetery is also a public offering. There are five or six cemetery groups around this large area, and there is also a Chinese cemetery. The huge green grass area around the hotel is not a park, but a cemetery! Fortunately, the cemetery here is not so scary. It feels like a casual place like a park that you usually pass by, so it doesn’t produce too much gloomy feeling. As for the service, the front desk here is not like the beautiful girls in China. There are a few old men. A middle-aged white man looks good, but those old men are not so good. They are from the Middle East and their facial muscles don’t move much to show a smile. They give people a feeling of being gentle and indifferent, and they are not suitable for the service industry! The room service is ok, if it weren't for the sullen faces of the people serving at the front desk, the rest would be acceptable.

Hotel did not return our deposit of CAD 180 even though we’re sure we didn’t break anything. Tried calling them but they told us to call at 10am, yet to call again as we’re busy lately. After arriving at YYC Airport, you can call the hotel to send a car, and wait for about 25-30 minutes. The car will stop at Aisle17. The driver said that it runs every 30 minutes, but it is not very punctual. It takes about 10 minutes to get there. There is nothing nearby. It takes about 30 minutes to get to the city, and it costs about 30 dollars. The room is relatively large and not noisy. There was a middle-aged man who was very nice and helpful when checking out. I forgot his name. He seemed to be an old employee. The breakfast is simple, basically just a few things, but it is enough to eat. An extra person is cad6+tax. I will consider staying at this hotel next time.

Did not eat breakfast, but the lunch on the first floor restaurant was ok, the room was large, the double room seemed to allow four people, because the four of us opened two rooms, the front desk started to make a mistake and thought we were one Room, and then gave us four room cards, did not say nothing wrong, and later learned that it is two rooms. There is a small swimming pool on the first floor, and the environment is ok. The double beds in the double room are large, with a balcony, a coffee machine, and hygiene. You can see Calgary Tower when you go out. It takes about five or six minutes to walk.

Great value for a short term stay near the YYC, with turn off from major road BarlowTrail NE. The front entrance is a bit confusing if approaching from the rear industrial area. Staff were friendly and professional, usual hotel damage deposit and person staying in expectation. The room was very spacious and clean, although a bit dated. AC was a bit louder than expected, but was able to sleep through. I didn't have time to use the amenities (pool and gym).

More than 10 minutes drive from the airport, I immediately called the hotel shuttlebus when I got off the plane. After waiting for more than an hour, I still couldn't see the trace and finally I could only call the hotel to the hotel for 17 Canadian dollars. Call the hotel three times during the period, the answer is not waiting for a while they are going to check with the driver. When I arrived at the front desk of the hotel, I said that the driver had been waiting there. I firmly answered the impossible. I have never seen the car coming. Later, I said that the car had a problem and eventually compensated for a breakfast coupon. It’s ridiculous to let the guest wait an hour on such a cold day and lie. Although the hotel is new and the interior space is large, I will not book it again next time. The next day I booked the shuttlebus, but I was late, and I was disappointed.

The hotel was under renovation so that may have affected things. The front desk staff was friendly and helpful, they let me check in earlier than their 3pm check in time, but lets be honest, they weren't full and preventing people from checking in early when they have rooms free is just bad service. The hotel itself was underwelming, and everything was bare minimum effort. It smelled of cleaning solution and cigarettes, and has poor soundproofing. There was no water in the room and their vending machine was empty, so I had to walk to a nearby gas station to get something to drink. It is close to the airport and within a few blocks of restaurants, but this place has the feel of barely kept up motel. I guess this is what you get in this price range in Calgary.

The hotel is a legendary hotel that opened in 1913 and has been 110 years ago. It is the same hotel where Queen Elizabeth stayed. The front desk upgraded the room type to a top floor room. The room has a large usable space, the bathroom is large, and the equipment is LeLabo. The gym and swimming pool are on the B1 floor of the hotel. The swimming pool is not large, but the temperature of the pool is very comfortable. What impressed me most about this hotel is the Hawthorn Lounge on the first floor of the hotel. Breakfast is served a la carte, with dedicated service. At the end of the meal, a postcard from the hotel is given to you.
