As a solo traveler staying multiple nights, I highly rate this experience. It was clean, and most importantly, the bathroom was an excellent size, unlike many others at this price point. The free laundry is a big plus; other places might have laundry but still charge extra. Melo Stay won't disappoint. Just note that the walls can be thin, especially if you have loud neighbors, but it wasn't an issue for me.

This hotel was perfect for my family trip, as I needed to stay in a separate location for a night. The room was small, just the width of a single bed, but surprisingly long enough to leave my suitcase open and still move around comfortably. They provided plenty of towels – not just in the room, but also spares in the shower, which was great for unexpected spills or extra use. My only minor concern was the cleaning and restocking frequency. There were times when the toilet paper ran out and the shower floor was covered in hair. However, any issues were addressed immediately. I had a few incidents where I left my key card in the room or it stopped working, locking me out. In both cases, after a quick phone call, the kiosk automatically resolved the problem, minimizing my wait time and making it incredibly helpful.

The hotel is relatively new. A taxi ride from Seoul Station costs around 9,000 Korean Won. Although breakfast is a fixed menu, I really enjoyed the beef soup with rice and had it every day. My child liked the seaweed soup with rice. The service was also great; I lost a room key, and they didn't charge me for it. It's about a 7-8 minute walk to both Mapo and Gongdeok stations. The room is a bit small, but after placing a 26-inch and a 20-inch suitcase on the floor, there's still enough space for two people to sit comfortably. The Daegu fried chicken nearby is delicious. There are free water dispensers and ice machines on the 10th and 20th floors. Laundry and drying each cost 5,000 Korean Won.

Booked a family room, it was quite spacious with two large beds and enough room to lay out two suitcases. The bathroom was a bit small, but that's a common issue. The location is excellent, convenient for getting around and shopping, and about an hour's drive from Incheon. There's a 7-Eleven downstairs, and across the street, there's a popular backbone stew place and a salt bread shop. The salt bread was fantastic, wondering if it's the same one as in Seongsu.

I had a very pleasant stay at this hotel. The location is excellent, just a short walk from the subway, and the area is very convenient, with convenience stores, many restaurants, and plenty of shops nearby. The hotel and the room were very clean, and the service was excellent. The staff members I met were extremely kind and spoke English. They also helped me carry my luggage up to the room, which I really appreciated. The room was well equipped with everything I needed, including clean towels, soap, shampoo, conditioner, a hairdryer, toilet paper, bottled water, and a small refrigerator. It also had double-glazed windows, which made the room feel comfortable and quiet. I also found the self-service check-out system very useful. As I had to leave very early, before the reception opened, I was able to complete the check-out easily by myself using the dedicated machine. The room I stayed in was compact, but it was very practical and comfortable. It is ideal for one person or for a short stay. For two people staying for a longer period, it may feel a little small, but this did not affect my overall experience. Overall, I was very satisfied with the cleanliness, the location, and especially the friendly and helpful service. I would gladly stay here again.

First off, this is a legitimate hotel, not a guesthouse or a self-built inn. It has all the standard hotel amenities. It's definitely a suitable place to stay. Now, regarding the location, don't trust some of the online guides. This area isn't a commercial district or where tourists would typically want to go. It's a wholesale market hub, much like Beijing's Zoo Market or Chengdu's Lotus Pond Market – places that open at night for stocking up and close during the day. Within a two-kilometer radius, there are tens of thousands of tailor shops. Of course, there are some malls that are open during the day, but they're very few, so it's not recommended for tourists to stay here. I chose this place because I was returning to China from Busan, wanted a good night's rest, and needed to go to Gimpo Airport the next day. For everyone else, it's probably best to stick to hotels near Myeongdong; having Lotte Department Store right outside is the way to go. The hotel doesn't provide toothbrushes or toothpaste; you have to buy them from a vending machine. They really don't offer them at all, unlike other hotels where they might not actively provide them but will give them to you if you ask, like a razor. The two beds are roughly the size you'd find in a student dormitory. The breakfast *looked* like it would be good, but the reality was that it ended at 10 AM, with last entry at 9:30 AM. I went around 8:40 AM, and all that was left was sliced bread, sliced baguette, and instant noodles. As for scrambled eggs, bacon fried rice, which should have been there, I didn't see any – they were gone by at least 8:30 AM, and they didn't restock at all. The small pots for dishes in my pictures were all empty. I only managed to eat four small mushrooms. The hotel description mentioned sausages and other items, but there was absolutely nothing. In the end, I had a cup of instant noodles and a glass of grape juice.

Facilities: The in-room Wi-Fi was spotty and not very reliable. Cleanliness: The hygiene was excellent, and the room was cleaned thoroughly. Ambiance: It had a great atmosphere. Service: Every staff member was smiling and greeted me proactively. There were issues with the toilet and air conditioning during my stay, both of which were resolved.

Location: First time staying in Yeongdeungpo; it's a short walk from the airport limousine bus stop so that was convenient. There's a Starbucks and C U convenience store right outside the hotel. YDP station and Lotte Department Store are a short walk away, though I recommend taking a short bus ride to the Hyundai Department Store. It's also near the Yeouido Hangang Park. Room: Layout is a little strange as other reviewers have noted, and indeed there's very little space to open your suitcase. I placed mine at the wardrobe area, which meant it was a little difficult to access the clothes I hung up. I liked the two couches against the window. Toilet: The sink is the first thing you see when you enter the room. I didn't like how the shower and toilet shared a door, and there's no bidet for the toilet. Water pressure and temperature control for both the rain shower and handheld shower were good. Bed: Fairly comfy, however it was the first time I've ever experienced a creaky hotel bed. Miscellaneous: Might be a minor thing for most but the room slippers were a joke...the top part was literally paper and difficult to slip on and off because of the way the paper was folded. Fridge was small and not very cold but did its job. Lobby is small and only has one seating area, so it's not a place to chill or wait around long. Staff were friendly, and I was allowed to check in slightly earlier than 3pm. Checkout was fuss-free.

The front desk service was pretty mediocre and unwelcoming. When our driver helped us with our luggage, they just stood there. The location is good, but they charge extra for an additional blanket. Overall, it's still decent. We chose this place because there were six of us. It's lively downstairs but surprisingly not noisy. The BBQ fried chicken next door is delicious and highly recommended!

The Garden Hotel in Seoul turned out to be a great choice for us. The rooms were clean and fresh, especially considering the price, and the location was convenient with just a ten‑minute walk to the nearest station. Perfect for exploring a big city without hassle. We didn’t interact much with the staff, but the hotel provides an emergency number for assistance. When heavy rain caused a small flooding in our room, we received quick help from a very kind and friendly staff member who came right away and took care of everything. It left a reassuring impression. Since we are clean and organized travelers who spend most of the day out in the city, the hotel suited us perfectly. It’s quiet, comfortable, and has good standards for both beds and showers. For a simple and affordable stay, The Garden Hotel is a very good option.
