Stayed 2 nights at Book 1 while visiting Aarhus. Overall, I had a good stay. Hostel is a 15 min-ish walk from the train station. Mostly downhill too, which means on the way back it's uphill so be aware of that with luggage. Wifi is incredibly strong, worked great. I was in a female dorm which was in the garden floor, meaning our window looked out onto the street. The room is incredibly warm and stuffy w/o the window being open, and due to the festival and live music in the park across the street, it could be warm or cool/loud. People lingered after hours in the park too which of course, we could hear everything. I know that's not the hostel's fault, but as a female, I didn't like the feeling of the window open to the street level. The bed/pod is really nice, privacy curtain and plug by the bed. Bed is pretty comfortable too. Locker storage is pretty generous as well. Each room has an en suite bathroom, which is a good size, but of course, in sharing it, you might be waiting awhile. There are bathrooms for guests to access too, but no showers, which is pretty surprising. You can only shower in your actual room, so if there is a huge wait, there is no way to utilize other facilities. You also have no hangers or hooks on the beds for towels. Just communal hooks throughout the room, which is not how most people use that space. So then towels are half hanging around the room by the beds. Staff is super nice and helpful, from printing tickets to making another key when yours disappears. The hostel is a dual hostel and event space with an indoor mini golf course. In trying to be a design space, it misses some of these little easy ways that people actually use hostels. Easy miss stuff. I will say, we did not hear ANY noise in the rooms from the mini golf course though, that was nice a separate from the rooms. Didn't have breakfast so can't speak to that. But despite these little misses in the design and functionality of the room, I would probably stay again.
