My wife and I had a lovely overnight stay where we were able to enjoy the relaxing spa, great food in the restaurant and a comfortable room. Equally as important as the way we were treated by the staff who were a credit to the establishment. There was great at arranging our stay and greeting us. Layla was helpful in answering our questions. Bruce was excellent at making sure we were looked after. We look forward to returning soon..

OK so i wanted to impress and did it impress, Oh yes... I booked the Epicurean Suite which i have to say one of the very best rooms i have stayed in, and i have travelled extensively. If your looking for the wow factor you have it in spades. Spotlessly clean, elegantly decorated and a bed to die for. if i try and look for any negatives its almost impossible but maybe the curtains don't close, but you do have blinds, not an issue over the darker months but maybe over the summer? so if that's all i can find wrong with the room then nothing to complain about whatsoever. The Spa facilities far exceed what i expected of a small country hotel, the massage was quite brilliant and i got rid of a lot of tension. The evening meal was in part excellent and in part a disappointment, bar service a little slow but in general good. Food from my partners point of view very good mine a let down as i had very high expectations from last eating here in February, unfortunately this was not mirrored this time.

Second time here and always meets high expectations. Stayed in what was most affordable available room for one night. Lovely spacious room, spotless bathroom. Every single staff member friendly, approachable, chatty, focussed on providing top experience for guests. Pool and spa area peaceful, never feels too busy. Top food in the restaurant too - special mention to lovely front of house / waitress in *****y trousers - impeccable service. Felt like such a treat and hope to come back again.

Beautiful location and Spa. This isn't my first visit and won't be my last. Utterly love this place The spar is a total escape inside and out. All the therapists are brilliant. Today, I had Isabella, she relaxed me, talked me though my treatments, I feel totally rejuvenated, Thank you Isabella. Food devine, nothing is to much trouble

We stayed at the elms hotel and spa as a special treat for my friends 30th birthday. The hotel itself is beautiful, set in stunning grounds and the hotel and spa are tastefully decorated with a luxurious boutique vibe. The staff are lovely, super helpful and a real credit to the hotel. The spa was spotless and the facilities were great- our treatments were fab and we felt very relaxed. There were a couple of areas which we feel could be improved. Firstly there was no personal touch to aknowledge the reason for our stay both upon arrival or in our room. The welcome newspaper was a nice touch with my name but would have been a great opportunity to mention my friend and her birthday! Also no mention in the restaurant. I did note this on both the hotel and restaurant booking but to no avail. Furthermore the chocolates I had pre ordered were not in the room upon arrival which was very disappointing. Lastly, room 4 could do with some touch ups- there was some damage to the wall which requires fixing along with the bathroom requiring an update to meet the same high standard as the bedroom. Overall this is a great place to stay and with a few minor tweaks could be fantastic.

Myself and my mum went for her birthday we both had an amazing treatment, in the spa and then had afternoon tea. The spa was lovely but the treatments were amazing, I have never had a better relaxing treatment ever. Afternoon tea was great, a lovely selection, of cakes and sandwiches, all fresh. Wonderful staff, will definitely be going back.

On arrival this hotel really has the wow factor. Beautiful building, exquisitely decorated. The staff are helpful and attentive and I couldn’t fault them: However….the food was very average and disappointing. We had afternoon tea and it really felt like all the trays had been mass produced. We were in early but the ends of the sandwiches were dry, the scones cold and the Victoria sandwich almost crispy - they had definitely been left to stand for too long. This was an early mother’s dad treat and I’d been tempted to return for a spa day but I don’t think this would now be my choice.

I brought my mom here this weekend for a spa getaway for her birthday. We arrived yesterday (Sunday) early for lunch before we checked in. We were informed a lunch menu wasn’t available and it was main courses only - which wasn’t suitable for us as we were eating that evening in the restaurant. We ordered some small side dishes instead and overlooked this, assuming lunch wasn’t available on a Sunday. We checked into our room, it was lovely & we had no complaints on the cleanliness and quality of the room however there were very little toiletries - had we not brought our own there wouldn’t have been enough for us both to shower/bath with. (At over £200 a night for the room we stayed in we expected a generous toiletry selection). We then headed down for dinner on the evening, again the food was nice (I do feel slightly overpriced for the standard we received) but the hotel had ran out of lemonade and tonic which is all we have in our gin/wine/cocktails. So we were limited to soft drinks only during our stay as a result which wasn’t ideal. We headed back up to our room early and went to bed. We went down for breakfast this morning and ordered my mom ordered an English breakfast, I had a selection of fruit and granola. We were offered a cup of tea each and then left to our own devices. We didn’t get offered any toast despite butter being on the table. A frequent problem we had was staff not being attentive enough in regards to checking we had everything we needed and when it come to drink top ups. No one checked with us if our food was ok during any of our sit down meals either. Both of us aren’t fussy at all however we did find the dining/drinking experience extremely underwhelming and were disappointed with our experience. Thankfully, our experience at the spa outshined any of the hotels in-discrepancies. I truly cannot thank Kiera enough for going above and beyond making mine & moms spa experience the best we have ever had. She is an asset to The Elms. The little touches she added made my moms day. The spa was beautiful, I can see why it has such raving reviews. We spent all day there and both had a 60 min massage each by Izzy who did mine (absolutely amazing!) and the lady who did my moms who we can’t remember the name of, I’m so sorry! But she was fantastic too. Worth every penny. We were doted on all day & the facilities are just gorgeous. We will absolutely be back for the spa, we can’t rate it highly enough. It’s also nice that they don’t overbook/overcrowd the spa. Finally, as part of our stay we got afternoon tea included. Unfortunately again, the sandwiches were hard and the cakes had gone slightly stale. We waited for a waitress to request a fresher afternoon tea however after about 15 minutes we gave up and continued. (We headed back to the spa after our tea and come back out about 30 mins later, our table still hadnt been cleared and this is an example of what I mean by the attentiveness of the dining staff). Overall it was a lovely st

I have never been anywhere so faultless! The staff, facilities, rooms, food and overall experience and hospitality were absolutely incredible. Every corner and pocket of this place is mesmerising and I am already planning my next trip back!
