Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche Reviews

We stay here often when we go to Abu Dhabi because it's close to where we have business. The hotel rooms feel dated compared to the Sofitel Obelisk where we always stay in Dubai. The rooms are smoking/non-smoking and I wish if the rooms were non-smoking to be that as you can smell the smoke being covered up. The food is always good. We order every time.

A very big thank you to Sofitel for their hospitality and professionalism throughout our whole stay there amidst the missile/drone attacks from Iran. Every single one of their staff was friendly, helpful and accommodating to our requests and needs despite it being a stressful period for everyone. Breakfast/meals were excellent with a wide spread and facilities like the gym were spacious and well maintained.

I will try to explain one by one our experience Upon check in - Front desk was rude. No greetings and even asked us to wait for the key for an hour. The only time we got it was when I followed up ( it was with him already all along) Elevators we saw some trash upon our arrival and the only time they removed them was when I reported it upon chex out. Front desk wasn't apologetic at all. During our stay our room was not cleaned even if we requested it. Our overall stay was unpleasant. The staff lacks proper manners and training. Will be back next week unfortunately as we are already booked and my reservation can't be cancelled anymore. Try to avoid this hotel.

Despite the fact that there were clearly available rooms, the hotel refused to allow us to check in just 2 hours early unless we paid an additional fee. This immediately set a very negative tone for our stay. When we were finally checked in, we were given a dark room with a view of a building, with only a tiny side view of the city, even though we had booked a city view room, and the photos shown during booking displayed a completely different view. When I went to the reception to show them the photo of our “city view,” the staff started arguing with me, saying that their website shows the best photos and that rooms can be different. This felt very unprofessional. The room itself was dusty and dirty - the carpet was stained, and the windows were extremely dirty. The bathroom smelled strongly of urine as soon as we checked in. The kettle didn’t work, and the hair dryer smelled strongly of something burnt, to the point that it was impossible to use it. We are on a long trip across different Gulf countries and cities, and this was by far the most unfriendly and unprofessional service we encountered. Overall, it was a terrible experience, and we would never want to stay at this hotel chain again. To be fair, a couple of staff members were pleasant and friendly, and the breakfast was not bad, but unfortunately, these were the only positives in an otherwise very negative stay.

Cleaning was not good at all: we were lacking paper tissues for couple of days, the sink and toilet were a little dirty. But shared spaces, like pool or gym were clean and tidy. The breakfast was really good, great choice. Location is nice, close to all major attractions and malls. Generally, we enjoyed our stay here.

Great location for a 2 day solo trip. Great sea view and very convenient for all the local attractions. It was very convenient for access to the excellent Corniche for walking. Always well priced taxis outside. I was on half board, breakfast though plentiful was not to my taste. However the buffet dinner was outstanding and very highly recommended. There appeared to be no reduction for a solo traveller as I had to pay for meals for 2 ! All in all a great stay and will certainly visit again!

The experience was quite bad. I booked for twin bathrooms and Seaview. They initially give me a queen back room after I checked in. I requested for double bedroom and then they said they will change the room for me but then I waited for another an hour. I arrive pretty late already at 9 pm was really tired but they made me wait and then the service was very below average. It was a pretty disappointed stay given this a five star hotel

This hotel is the tallest building around, so if you get a high-floor room, the view should be great. However, it seems that the glass exterior walls aren't particularly clean, possibly due to dust. The hotel has its own rather large parking lot and offers valet parking, which is quite convenient. Across the street is the beachfront with water fountains and regular fountains, perfect for enjoying the view or going for a run. Just a few kilometers down the coast from the hotel, there's a free beach. You can find it by searching for 'Corniche Beach' on your navigation. Regarding parking in Abu Dhabi: learn how to pay for street parking and recognize the different curb colors that indicate parking prices. Also, if a parking spot has a green line at its entrance, be aware that after 9 PM, only locals are allowed to park there, to avoid extra fines. Additionally, parking is free on public holidays and weekends. I was so lucky that the airport closed due to the Iran attack the day after I left the UAE. I hope all hotel staff and guests are safe, and I wish for world peace!

We were warmly welcomed by the staff, the location is good and the breakfast has a lot of selections.

Highly recommended! The front desk staff were very friendly, and the valet was very professional. The room was clean and beautiful, just a tad small. It was one of the more satisfying hotels during our UAE trip. Highly recommended. The location is also excellent.

Gymn room is large with wonderful view outside. In addition, there are a lot of machine. There is rich of food for breakfast while the restaurant is large enough for guests to relax with the meal. The hotel provides free bus to the main attractions and with the request the hotel also provided us return bus back to hotel, which is great.

I stayed at Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche for a business trip and had an excellent experience. The location is convenient and offers stunning views of the Corniche — a perfect mix of city access and seaside calm. The room was spacious, well-appointed, and very comfortable, with everything I needed to work efficiently and unwind after meetings. Wi-Fi was fast and reliable, and the housekeeping team kept everything spotless throughout my stay. Service was a standout — every staff member I met was professional, courteous, and genuinely welcoming. The breakfast buffet had a great selection with quality food and smooth service, ideal for busy mornings. Overall, Sofitel Abu Dhabi Corniche delivers both comfort and class, making it a great choice for business travelers looking for a relaxing and well-managed stay. I’ll gladly return on my next visit to Abu Dhabi.
