Ethiopian Skylight Hotel

It an amazing stay as always! Ethiopian Skylight is one of the best, if not the best Hotel in Ethiopia.

When I arrived, I was charged an extra USD 6. I asked why, and I was told it was for a government tax. This was never mentioned during the booking process on Trip.com. If I had known about this additional charge, I would have expected it to be clearly stated before I booked. It is not fair to have to pay an unexpected fee upon arrival. Please explain why this charge was not disclosed in advance.

Myself and my wife are writing to formally complain about the hotel accommodation provided to us, which was not the hotel we booked or paid for. We had booked a specific hotel (skylight hotel, a 5 stars hotel) through your service; however, upon arrival, we were taken to a completely different hotel (platinum hotel which we classified as 1 star hotel) of a very low standard. This hotel did not meet basic comfort and hygiene expectations. The room was extremely stuffy and the facilities were inadequate to the extent that we were unable to sleep comfortably or even take a proper bath. This experience is unacceptable, as it is not what we agreed to or paid for. The situation caused significant inconvenience and distress, especially considering that the booking was made in advance based on the expectation of a certain standard of accommodation. We are therefore requesting a full reimbursement for this booking, as the service provided was not as advertised or confirmed at the time of reservation. Attached hereto is the confirmation receipt of the booking. I look forward to your prompt response and resolution of this matter.

Very good quality hotel in a great location near airport. Could improve the airport shuttle service, as often waiting longer than the 15 mins regular service. But overall a great experience with nice restaurants, bars and open areas.
