The Noverian Antama Organic Beach Resort Chania with Outdoor Heated Pool

We booked this hotel because we wanted a to stay in a calm and quiet atmosphere next to the beach and with comfortable beachbeds We got exactly what we wanted pluss a lot more. The Staff at the hotel were all supernice and helped us with locating good restaurants, arranging a personal prefered taxi to a village for wine tasting, and even fixed us special breakfast several days. The receptionists, the barlady and the cleaning Staff were the sweetest of People ❤️ They really went out of they're way to give us a Great holiday. Our last day we asked for tips on a place to get daily fresh Pastitsio, they couldnt find one so they called a place and the chef agreed to put it on the menu for us that evening. World class service! The room was fresh and modern, with a really comfortable bed. Clean every day and beachtowels, good espresso, and my favourite greek brand Korres' of shampoo and soaps. The hotel is located in a quiet area at the end of Agia Marina, and close to Platanias. There is a good supermarked just across the street with everything you need. We got what we wanted, what we needed and that heartwarmimg extras.

Don’t believe the marketing this is NOT 5* This hotel is a staggering affront to what we would expect from a 5 star hotel, it is nowhere near. The list of issues is huge-no bellboy and no lift, no stair lighting on our staircase as it’s broken but they can’t get an electrician, so dark coming upstairs at night, coffee and tea policy is only 4 pods and they’re not refilled all week even when you ask. Breakfast you have to choose one drink (coffee or juice not both), breakfast you must share the sweet element on the menu, dinner you share a salad and a starter and the sweet of the day is the morning cake with some sauce. No water provided, the only eating space is outside so when the weather is poor you have to take back to your room although the menu says you can’t. No lounge or communal area except small reception, cleaning hit and miss. They do provide a blackout curtain for the main window but not the bathroom window which has a glass door back into the bedroom and at night the room is also lit up by the red light motion sensor, the fusebox which lights up, the green light above the door, the green and red lights for whether you require your room serviced. Could add the door doesn’t shut properly, the bathroom door doesn’t shut properly, the shoddy tiling in the bathroom, that you can’t use the bathroom door if you have the bath mat down as it’s too tight, unfinished electrics in the room. We paid extra for the side sea view and glad we did as some of other rooms faced each other, but the balcony was tiny and was roasting when the sun came out and would be too hot to sit on in the hot weather, was also too small to eat at really or even get in and out of. Even with the random ‘circle your choices’ menu and restricted and repetitive choices for food it still didn’t match what was on the menu, no granola in the energy bowl, grilled chicken thighs that were drumsticks, the Cretan welcome at breakfast changed daily and generally got meaner as the week went on. Sometimes the bread rolls were hard, sometimes two pastries and sometimes one. On a positive note the omelettes and scrambled egg were nice if slightly undercooked the first two days and the rooms are reasonably comfortable, but this is absolutely NOT a five star hotel or experience.

Resorts usually comprehend a larger property with -more or less- expansive landscapes and space for recreational facilities. This here is a very(!) tiny hotel complex (10 m wide x 80 m long [no kidding, you can measure it on Google!]) The beach area is correspondingly small (10 m wide x 20 m long). In that respect the description as a „resort“ is very misleading. Dinner and breakfast are very limited regarding the variety of dishes. For dinner there is a small menu (6 meat-, 1 fish-dishes) from which you can choose (see the photo). The menu doesn‘t change and it takes pretty long (up to more than 1 hour) to get the food. We decided after 3 days to have dinner in one of the many restaurants/ taverns in short distance. Breakfast has every morning the same -predefined- plate (s. photo). In addition you can choose one item from a list (e.g. eggs OR yoghurt, but not both!) Towards the middle of the week usually the owner shows up, talking/ shouting disturbingly loud to his employees. There was one cleaning woman for all rooms, doing really her best, but not being able to clean all rooms every day in the available time frame. Smoking is forbidden on the entire premise, but not advertised on the booking platforms. Drinks at the pool-/beach-bar can only be paid with card, no booking to the room. Approaching the waterline, the sand beach ends and the entry into the water is covered with (smaller and larger) stones. On the positive side: Rooms and the restaurant-/ bar-/ pool- (around 2 m x 7 m) area are very nicely designed. The employees are very friendly and helpful, wherever possible. Summarized: the whole concept may suit for a 1-3 day stay, but nor for a longer summer vacation.

the place is a dream. The pool area is extremely quiet. The food is amazing snd 100% organic. Very friendly staff and smilling,always ready to help you. Rooms are very nice and comfortable. We didn't use the A/C because there is a ceiling fan

Our stay at The Noverian Antama Organic Beach Resort Chania was amazing. The best part of our vacation was that the hotel was right on the sea. You can also see the sunset. Regarding the breakfast, the quality of the products was something that surprised me. You don't easily find such quality in hotels. The a la carte restaurant also works for dinner, which we tried and were extremely satisfied! As for the cleanliness, both the outdoor areas and the room were sparkling. The staff seems to do an excellent job. I am looking forward to my next trip with my partner to Agia Marina and specifically to The Noverian Antama Organic Beach Resort.

I had a fantastic stay at this hotel. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and comfortable, and the location was perfect. The breakfast was fresh and tasty, with some nice local touches. I really enjoyed my time here and would definitely come back!

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at The Noverian Antama Organic Beach Resort in Agia Marina, Chania. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. The rooms are spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, with great attention to detail and high-quality amenities. Waking up to the sea and the peaceful surroundings was a dream. The staff truly make the difference — warm, professional, and genuinely caring. Every request was handled with a smile, and we felt welcomed and valued throughout our stay. The beachfront location is perfect: crystal-clear waters, comfortable sunbeds, and a relaxed vibe that makes it easy to unwind. The pool area is equally stunning and never felt crowded. Food was another highlight. Breakfast was rich, fresh, and delicious, with excellent quality ingredients and plenty of options. Everything we tried was beautifully presented and full of flavor. This resort is ideal for couples, relaxation seekers, and anyone looking for a high-end yet authentic Cretan experience. We left feeling refreshed and already planning our return. Highly recommended — one of the best stays we’ve had in Crete! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
