Atrion Resort Hotel

A hotel I truly want to return to – a real gem in Crete! I have been travelling to Crete on several occasions since 2018 and have stayed at many different hotels. This is the first hotel that has made me want to come back – and that says a lot. What makes this hotel so special is the feeling of arriving in a small village. It has a warm and personal atmosphere where you feel welcome from the very first moment. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful, and genuinely do their best to make every guest feel comfortable. The rooms are very well cleaned and maintained to a high standard. The beds are among the best I have ever slept in at a hotel, and the hotel even has a certificate for bed hygiene – something that shows how seriously they take quality and comfort. The air conditioning is also the best I have experienced in a hotel – quiet, efficient, and perfect for the warm Cretan days. The balconies are fantastic and provide the perfect place to enjoy your morning coffee or a relaxing evening. The food is excellent, and the service is truly outstanding. If something should happen to go wrong, the staff solve it quickly and with a smile. A hotel with heart, care, and a special atmosphere that makes you want to return. For me, this is not just a hotel – it feels like a second home in Crete.

Excellent holiday at Atrion hotel. Cant fault the accommodation. We stayed in a lovely superior room number 211. Close to reception so very easy access. Room has lots of lights, usb sockets, nespresso coffee machine. Walk in shower cubicle bigger than mist with great water flow and warm water too. Balcony sun in morning with shade later on when really needed. View of pool and sea. Not far from beach. We will be back.

We stayed at this hotel for a family holiday with our young children, and it exceeded our expectations from start to finish. Our two-bedroom apartment was spacious, spotlessly clean, and perfect for a family. It had everything we needed and made our stay very comfortable. The staff truly made our holiday special. Everyone was incredibly friendly and welcoming, and they always took the time to interact with our children. A special thank you to the wonderful reception team—our kids absolutely adored them, and they quickly became their biggest fans! Booking excursions through the reception was easy, and it was very convenient that the tour buses picked us up from the main road right outside the hotel. The local bus stop was also just outside, making it easy to visit Chania and Jumbo without needing a car. The swimming pool was fantastic, with a large main pool and a separate children's pool. It was the perfect place to relax after a day of sightseeing, and the pool area was always clean and well maintained. The playground was another big plus. It was lovely to let the children play safely while we enjoyed the rest of our breakfast and watched them from our table. The pool bar served a great selection of snacks as well as generous lunch and dinner portions. The food was delicious, and we ended up eating there several times during our stay. Breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of fresh and tasty options. Everyone in our family found something they enjoyed, so every morning got off to a great start. Agia Marina Beach is ideal for families with young children. The sandy beach is beautiful, the sea stays shallow for a long way, making it safe for little ones, and there's even a playground by the beach. We highly recommend this hotel to both families and couples looking for a relaxing holiday. We had a wonderful stay and would happily return in the future!

Lovely hotel. Very clean - room was extremely spacious (separate shower, separate toilet, separtate sink/handbasin). The hotel is designed to look like a block of apartments (I think some of the rooms were self cateing). We had breakfast included which was good (I would have liked to see more fresh fruit options & fresh orange juice - it was diluted squash!!!!

We stayed on Atrion for a week with my family. Rooms, Pool Area, breakfast restaurant and overall premises were clean and comfortable. Service was friendly and best thing was that we got separate breakfast for our daughter who has severe allergy to nuts and eggs. Overall 5/5 experience

Lovely hotel, really well positioned for the beach and tavernas. Breakfast good choice. The only two things that let it down, was the view from the balcony of somebodies big knickers on a washing line everyday and the fact that maid left the clean sheets on the top of the bed for us to make up ourselves! Never come across this before in a 3/4 star hotel.

Stayed 7 nights in aprill in eastern week. We had booked 3 superior-rooms wich were located in the main building. All our rooms were different in size and layout even though the rooms were adjacent. My room was bigest, but was missing proper wardrobe with doors (it had open shelves) and layout was odd. The beds and pillows were comfortable and soundproofing seemed good. Overall, the room was of good quality and clean. The air conditioning was efficient. Bathroom had free toiletries. Breakfast was plentiful and gluten-free bread was available upon request. The staff was friendly and helpful. Poolbar food was good with big portion size. Hotel has recently upgraded its star rating so now it’s 4 star (used to be 3 star) and it’s mean higher Climate Crisis Resilience Fee which has now doubled so take this into consideration. In my opinion the hotel is an excellent 3 star hotel, but lacks some amenities that you would expect from 4 star hotel. Hotel offers restaurant/bar and swimmingpool. For 4 star hotel I would expect gym, sauna etc. So now you just pay much higher Climate Crisis Resilience Fee (70€/room/week) but you get same amenities when hotel was 3 star. Remember that you pay that fee in the hotel and it is not included room prices. Nevertheless a nice and high quality hotel.

Our second visit to this excellent hotel. We asked and were given the same room as the year before which we were very happy with. We had B&B again as there is a huge variety of items available. The room had air con a balcony and nice view of the pool, grounds and the sea.
