The Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection, is a true gem on the stunning island of Crete. Our stay here was nothing short of spectacular, deserving every one of these five stars. Firstly, a special mention to their amazing staff and to name a few, Panos, Julia, Dimitri and Lena. Now, from the moment we arrived, we were mesmerized by the breathtaking views of the sparkling blue Mediterranean Sea and the historic Spinalonga Island. Each day, we woke up to this incredible panorama, which made our vacation feel like a dream come true. The culinary experience was another highlight of our stay. The resort offers a variety of dining options, each presenting delicious and beautifully presented dishes. We particularly enjoyed the fresh seafood and local Cretan specialties, which were paired perfectly with excellent wines. Our room was spacious, elegantly designed, and immaculately clean. The blend of modern amenities with traditional Cretan touches created a comfortable and luxurious environment. The private terrace and plunge pool added an extra layer of exclusivity and relaxation. The hospitality at the Domes of Elounda was unparalleled. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction, always greeting us with warm smiles and a genuine willingness to help. Their attention to detail and personal touches made us feel truly pampered. Overall, our experience at the Domes of Elounda, Autograph Collection, was exceptional. The stunning views, exquisite food, luxurious rooms, and outstanding hospitality made our stay unforgettable. We can't wait to return to this slice of paradise!

Our third holiday in Crete was nothing short of amazing. The resort provided a perfect blend of relaxation, adventure, and cultural immersion. The exceptional service, beautiful surroundings, and wide range of activities made this trip unforgettable. We look forward to returning to Crete and experiencing more of what this beautiful island has to offer. It was my second time in Domes of Elounda. The resort is known for its breathtaking views, exceptional service, and a plethora of activities catering to all ages and interests.

I cannot express enough how amazing our family vacation was. Everything at this place is excellent. The staff / team is the most friendliest, caring and most professional we have ever had the pleasure to meet. The whole place is magic, the rooms, the beach, the spa, the treatments, the restaurants and bars and last but not least the pools. Thank you Ina, Christina and the whole Domes Family for making our stay so special. We will see you again! C, C & N

What a fabulous 9 days ,we have had, this is our last morning enjoying a coffee with the amazing view of Spinalonga and a very talented pianist playing in the background ,just perfect. The food has been excellent, so much choice in Thalos, with adult area if you want it. We chose outside all the time as the weather has been beautiful. Topos seafood restaurant was amazing ! Our room and pool private pool were well looked after by the wonderful Maria and Mailinda, thank you ladies. Restaurant staff couldn't do enough for us. Sofoklis, made sure we were looked after at breakfast and in the evening . The ladies who booked us in always smiling and very helpful . The young man ,working tirelessly in the Dome bar in the evenings. However our biggest thanks goes to the amazing ,kind, helpful Christina . Breakfast and at the adult pool an absolute star,thank-you Christina , you are an asset to the Domes. Out and about, Plaka and Elounda are both walkable ,or bus or taxi . A little further to Agios Nikolas, again bus or taxi if no car. Bus stop right outside the hotel Those morning sunrises, amazing . Great holiday, so relaxing .

Lovely resort, handy buggies to drive you around. Staff are wonderful. Food was excellent. Evenings at the Core were good with entertainment for the children. Traditional dancing and music was brilliant. Games room provided extra entertainment. Our room had an incredible view of spinalonga and having our own pool was great. Shop and food service at the main pool are also great. Would visit again.

What do you want from a holiday hotel? If it's friendly service, fantastic views, a great night's sleep and comfortable sun loungers by the sea then Domes of Elounda is the place to visit. On arrival at the hotel we were taken to the Grand Domes Bar and given a drink while we filled in the relevant forms. The view across to Spinalonga Island was absolutely breathtaking and it was not the only time that we were impressed by the stunning views offered by this wonderful hotel. We had one of the Core Suites (916) and were transported there by buggy. The Core Suites are a fair way from Reception and you will probably need to rely on the buggy service to get to the restaurants, bars and pools on the resort. Fortunately a call to Reception results in a buggy appearing outside in usually under 5 minutes. Our suite was superb offering great views of the mountains and the distant town of Elounda. The huge bed was one of the most comfortable we have slept in. There was more than enough drawer and cupboard space provided and the walk in overhead shower was great. We were on a half board basis and we found plenty of choices available at the buffet breakfast and dinner menus at Thollos restaurant. Dinner at The Core was also included in the half board package and I would certainly recommend the burger (very tasty). Although the buffet dinner at Thollos was good, we decided to try out the fine dining experience at Makris and at Blend Nikkei. Both were excellent and although they fell outside of the dinner budget the 20 euros per person discount on the bill made it good value for a fine dining experience. The beach is tree lined and gives plenty of shade during the hottest part of the day. There are plenty of comfortable deep padded sun loungers. If you need a drink simply press the button on the table alongside your sunbed and a server will take your order. We spent a very enjoyable week here the only downside was the "no flushing toilet paper" rule and I would recommend taking a good supply of nappy sacks. Thank you Domes for a great holiday.

We visited this resort for two nights, staying at a private two bedroom villa with a swimming pool. The accommodations were great, and the facilities in the resort are excellent. Lots of families with young kids. Location The resort is located 5 to 10 minute drive outside of the nearest town, on a secluded and quiet area. There is a beautiful view of the blue ocean and mountains around it from most places in the resort. It is a sprawling property and you will need to call a golf cart to move around. In all cases, the carts came fairly soon after we called them. Rooms Our villa had two bedrooms and two small bathrooms (one off the main bedroom and one at the foot of the stairs in the lower floor), with a living area and a small but functional kitchen in the downstairs area. There is a shared balcony upstairs and a covered patio outside, leading to a large and deep, heated swimming pool. We were pleasantly surprised to find a washer in the villa as well, along with a clothesline to hang laundry, which came in handy after a few days on the road. Beach Per above, the views of the ocean and the mountains around the resort are gorgeous. But there isn’t really a beach per se. There is a very thin stretch of sand and man-made platforms over the water that provide space to lay down and sun bathe next to the ocean . That seems to be the case for all resorts in this part of the island, so don’t come looking for long Sandy beaches here. There is a beach bar and restaurant in that area, which is accessible through a tunnel under the road and a short 3-minute walk from the reception. Since we had a pool at our villa, we did not use the other poles at the resort. The family one is quite large, but had lots of shade and available chairs. The adults only one was almost empty when we saw it. Restaurants Since we had dinner included, we were restricted to the two more casual restaurants on property. The first was a buffet, with some decent options and a few other dishes that were unfortunately a bit too cold by the time we got there. The other is a clever and lively outdoor dining area, with food truck options - and lots of little kids. Service in the area was particularly poor. But the food was OK. Breakfast is served in a buffet, with standard fare and lots of options. Altogether, this was a relaxing stop for us. It is a family oriented property with a beautiful landscape.

We had a really lovey holiday at the Domes of Elounda to celebrate for my 40th birthday. The staff were all really friendly and attentive. On check in, I mentioned I had joined the Domes master key holder club & the receptionist wasn’t aware of the club at all so didn’t know what it meant. We were supposed to get a few perks on check in, but we didn’t?! I think it’s a new thing, but all staff need to be made aware of this club if Domes are promoting it online. However the €100 euros credit & 10% off all items was added to the final bill, so definitely ensure you sign up even if you just get that. We booked a full sea view with jacuzzi room for the 3 of us (2 adults & our 7 year old daughter) & checked into our initial room 308 & could see the view was restricted which was disappointing. I went back to reception & mentioned we had specifically requested a full sea view & he just said I can’t do anything now but he would make a note on the system. I had to chase this request daily as no one contacted us & eventually we were moved after 3 nights to 414 which had a much better view of the bay & spinalonga. Bit annoying it took this long as it shouldn’t have happened in the first place when we had notes on the system to say we were coming for a special occasion & really wanted a gorgeous full sea view. We happened to bump into a lady on a golf buggy on our first day who was initially put into 308 before us and was moved the same day as of the restricted view too. So this obviously is an issue with the room. Maybe having different categories of views on options for rooms would resolve this issue? The rooms are lovely and spacious & I loved the shower & the lovely local olive oil toiletries. The master bedroom bed was very comfortable, however the sofa bed is very thin & you can feel the bars when lying on it. Not ideal for a weeks holiday in an uncomfortable bed for our daughter. My husband ended up sleeping in there a few nights too as she didn’t want to sleep in it, so he didn’t have great nights sleep on those nights either. The hotel main buffet restaurant was absolutely fine and never felt too busy. The food choices were okay and quality pretty standard. The wine prices are very steep €10 + for a small glass of local wine. The beach seafood restaurant was only open for lunch as it was out of season & Loved the food here. We do prefer to eat out at different places, so we went into Plaka a few times and the food there is outstanding and very reasonably priced. A lot of other guests were also doing this too as the food is so much better there. If you can opt for bed and breakfast, I would 100% advise to do this. The pool area and private beach are both amazing. We split our days at both. Loved the chilled vibe and the staff were very attentive. The beds are lovely and thick & each had a call button. Overall, our family had a lovely time here and would 100% stay in a Domes resort again but on a bed and breakfast board instead.

The best thing about this hotel is the staff. They are all super friendly, had a smile on their face and were very helpful. The buggy drivers were great and went out of their way to pick people up quickly which we appreciated with a 2 year old with us! The views from the hotel are stunning and the seawater glitters! It really is something. Housekeeping was also amazing! I had an amazing aromatherapy massage in the spa and that was a highlight of the week. However there were a few of things that need improving to make this hotel better, in my opinion so here is my honest feedback: 1) the smaller room that we stayed (with jacuzzi) was very dark during the day and we needed to come back to the room each day for my sons afternoon nap - the furniture on the terrace was quite hard, uncomfortable and shabby - the terrace itself lost the sun by 12pm so it wasn’t overly pleasant to sit whilst we waited for him to wake up. Softer sofas and more than one, would have helped relax. 2) there wasn’t an awful lot for young kids to do which I was suprised about as it really markets itself as a family hotel - my son recently turned 2 and the family pool area was nice but there was nothing really signifying that it was for families. The family pool area lacked personality to be honest - some small fountains that kids can play in, maybe even a small slide - just something to make the area ‘fun’! Core had a bubble show and balloons one night but I expected more entertainment for toddlers. We got given a ticket for cinema night but the earliest age was 4 so we couldn’t use it. 3) the crèche - we tried putting our 2 year old in for one morning and after 50 mins they called us to come and collect him as he wouldn’t settle. I understand why they did this but it was quite frustrating - I couldn’t help but feel they might have been able to do more but appreciate it’s not easy looking after a screaming child. They also need a better outside area as the park they have is very small and a little uninspiring with only 2 slides and 2 swings with a strange balance beam. 4) the food in the buffet restaurant wasn’t the best. It wasn’t awful but it wasn’t 5* and the pool bar often didn’t have items that were on the menu (such as crispy chicken all week) so I found myself just having a Greek salad everyday - which got boring. They also need a more casual lunch menu for children that is quick - service was super slow in the pool restaurant (can’t remember its name) and wasn’t suitable for us with a toddler who hates sitting still, it made the restaurant experiences quite stressful. The service in Core was very bad, repeatedly asking for things and getting forgotten. Food not turning up - we visited twice and then avoided. The only other thing that made the hotel feel a little ‘cheap’ was the serving of cocktails in plastic cups - shouldn’t be happening in a 5* and the cocktails themselves werent the best sorry to say. Overall this is a nice hotel but for the money I expec
