We booked a 2 nights stay for the private pool room. Lets start with the pros which are less than the cons sadly. The hotel (especially the room) is at a nice lacation, viewing the seaside. Pool and balcony are very big, having a small patio outside to sit and enjoy your drinks and 2 sunbeds to enjoy the sun. Sadly the weather didn't help us(rainy and windy) and we couldn't enjoy this part of the room. Swimming pool has a filter which renews the water all day which is good, but the result is cold water if the weather doesn't help. Bed was very cozy and soft. Room had 2 air conditions providing a nice temperature. They have quite good breakfast, big variety, different things each day. Mostly of the staff were polite and nice. Now the cons. Let me state that sadly the weather was not good so the small bad details were easily noticable. We checked in and walked to our room by ourselves. For a 4 star hotel i would expect at least a walkthrough of the room and everything included. The room was clean but not as clean we would expect for the money. Dust to some places and bathtub's and shower's showerhead were both full of salt. The room has a big bathtub in the corner of your bedroom which is a nice touch but it was not fully working. It was missing a button with which you could chooce from where the water comes(tap or showerhead) and the showerhead was broken. We called reception and they came to change the showerhead but they couldnt fix the button,so we had to fill the bathrub holding the showehead for half an hour. After request they gave us a small tool to be able to press the button but that only worked once(too big didnt fit in the hole),so we didn't try again. Outside the patio was nice but the wooden floor deck was not ready for summer season. Small pieces of wood coming out of everywhere, with result to step on them and "hurt" out feet,we had to go around with flip flops. Swimming pool looked cool, was not used because of the bad weather and cold water,BUT was dirty when we came. So they had to come and clean it during our stay. The plus - room has seperate toilet and shower BUT the minus is that sink is also outside of both of these rooms, like in the main room. Mini fridge was totally empty which is the first time i see in a hotel. We had only a small bottle of water, outside of the fridge, waiting for us. We paid 300 euros for a 2 night stay. Sadly not value for money. Maybe if the weather was good we could oversee these details but still,a 4 star hotel should offer a nice stay either way. NOBODY except the very nice worker they sent us said that they are sorry for this poor condition of the pool, showerhead and broken button(not fixed) . Neither they mentioned it,neither they offered any refund, discount or free dinner.

We booked 3 nights at this hotel in a share pool with sea views. We arrived to be told there was a problem with our room and they were putting us in another room for the first night. We were put in a small room with the tiniest shower and bathroom I have ever seen. This was their basic room at considerably less cost than the room we had booked. No apology, no offer of compensation. When we complained loudly we were offered a free meal. We went to the restaurant that night and were given the menus. When they came to take our order I mentioned we had a free meal as compensation. They immediately gathered up our menus and said there was a problem. We were then handed the very basic half board menus. Once again we raised our voices and were given back the a la Carter’s menus. The next morning we waited and waited for our correct room to be available. We were told the cleaners on that floor didn’t start till 11am (even though they were around on other floors at 10am). We packed our bags and waited in reception and eventually were given the keys to our share pool room at 12.15pm. No offer of help with bags to relocate. This hotel is lacking in maintenance and cleaning standards are low. The staff are not particularly friendly and there are not many smiles. Fortunately our other hotels in Crete were a much more pleasant experience.

Not gear at all this year. We stayed in the hotel for 3 nights and we were really disappointed. Last year we stayed in the hotel for an entire week and we loved it and that is why we came back. However, this year the room was dirty, there were damages on the walls, the bath tub in the bedroom did not work properly and many more. When we arrived we've been told that there was an issue with the filter in the pool and they recommended us a different room which was a lot smaller than the one that we booked. We' ve been told that they would fix the pool the next day so we decided to stay in the room that we booked. However, the issue with the pool was not just the filter, the glass was really dirty most likely because people have been swimming after they've applied sunscreen, we were touching the glass and the dirt was coming out, also the sun beds and the sofa in the terrace were really dirty as well as the couch in the room. Additionally, the was like a shower room in the suit and the floor was slippery most likely because it has not been cleaned properly for days. The room has a really good view and the staff is really friendly, the hotel is offering a small breakfast buffet which is quite nice but the whole experience this year was not great at all.

Great location and the view is awesome. Has a lot more potential to be honest. Rooms were very good although some details prove that they could be a lot cleaner and i cannot accept that in the price given the TV is not smart. Personally i hate when showers don’t have a door and the whole bathroom becomes soaking wet. Bathroom in particular needs more attention regarding a customers hygiene. Essence is in the negative aspects that can be improved. Overall a fair choice. Gotta say that the whole staff was EXCELLENT AND VERY KIND AND HELPFUL and the breakfast was very good.

Double superior room with sea view had actually a view of 15 air conditioning units and giant electrical pole in front of the balcony. We were obliged to switch rooms for a less offensive view and were put into a standard size room. Ridiculously small and uncomfortable bathroom and the air conditioning did not work (only worked as a fan). Black out curtains but several lights sources in the room. Too many problems for a short stay.

We stayed here for 5 nights. Hotel was very clean, bright and welcoming. We arrived late and Iwavva (Joanne) welcomed us like family. We loved our room a unit on the top floor with access to a shared pool. The views are amazing. The breakfast was plentiful with many selections. We had dinner there 2 nights and we’re not disappointed, amazing flavours. The staff in the restaurant and bar were great and looked after us daily. A special thanks to Iwavva and the front desk for going above and beyond with dining and boat cruise recommendations to checking in every day as to where we went and saw. She made the stay here the best. We will definitely return to this place and will recommend to everyone

We came for 2 nights in couple. It is a nice place, reserved for adults. Swimming pool is confortable and very quite, with some wind and a very beautiful view on the see! Lots of olive trees around the place. The restaurant is good! Breakfast is very nice too.

Panos and the team at Melitti were very warm and welcoming. Lots of smiles and laughs too which was a bonus! The hotel had a lovely relaxed vibe about it and is very close to the beach. The hotel room was very clean and comfortable and had great facilities. The pool area was great and not over crowded which was a bonus! We would definitely recommend staying at Melitti, it is a little hidden gem off the main beach *****! Thanks Panps and team! We will be back again!

My partner and I stayed 2 nights in the beautiful room with private pool facing directly into the sea, staff was friendly and helpful when we had a blackout on the first day which was sorted pretty quick. Breakfast was average/good. That’s about it for the good things. What brings dramatically down the rating is the restaurant: I’m a head chef in central London, been in the business for 16 years and I never came across something like this. The menu is massively overpriced for what you get, I understand very well the need to make a profit out of food (or perhaps the need to balance out something else in the hotel? Or paying for the view?!) but those were prices for a 5 star hotel fine dining restaurant in Knightsbridge (where I worked for 5 years) not for a 3 star in a remote part of Crete. The ceviche had probably half a kilo of wakame (sea****) salad topped with few slices of fish. The orzo pasta at €28, with 2 prawns in it, I think it comments itself. Probably the biggest rip off I’ve ever seen in my life. The last time I saw a bouillabaisse it was a red, fish-pulpy soup, we got a green cream which didn’t really taste like fish. On the other hand, the lamb and the shells were good and the crab salad a very beautiful and tasty dish. Service though, was even worse. On the first night I ordered a Mythos beer which wasn’t available, fair enough, not a problem. I then asked the young waiter to bring me a Mamos, he offered me to try one of the local beers and I said fine bring me a Psaki. He turned up with a Mamos. Also, he had a block note pad with him but instead of writing down the order he came back few minutes later double checking what I’ve ordered, still getting it wrong after we confirmed twice what we ordered. On the second night we had another waitress who seemed more prepared but turned out she wasn’t really, in fact this time I got the right beer I ordered but even if my order was written down they still forgot to send the beef carpaccio I ordered. Probably was better like that so I could save few quids from this mega rip off. The only reason we chose to have dinner here was because our CONFIRMATION EMAIL stated that we had a budget of €20 PER NIGHT PER PERSON (as you can see below) but at the moment of check out we got smartly told that it would work that way only with a half or full board reservation. What you don’t do to scam people…A total of €144 for 2 dinners with awkward services and 3 out of 6 dishes unworthy. I thank god my girlfriend doesn’t drink and I prefer the much cheaper beer…. Honestly I’m not happy to write such a review, I’ve probably never done it in my life, but working in the industry and knowing how it operates I strongly suggest visitors to avoid this place to eat. If you require half/full board to enjoy the discount, bloody specify it in the confirmation email, don’t scam tourists this way, you live thanks to tourists. One last thing, we ate out and about in the island for 7 days, literally everywhere we ha
