Aizu Higashiyama Onsen Tsuki No Akari

It's a cheap and charming little restaurant in the Dongshan Hot Spring area. There are two free parking lots in front, so parking is very convenient. The downside is that the rooftop open-air hot spring is only for women during the day; men can only use it for three hours early in the morning!!! Going out to soak in the hot spring naked in winter is incredibly cold~

The location of the open-air bath was a bit disappointing. The wall blocked the view of the outside scenery.

The photos of the room made it look nice, but in reality, it was a very old building. The tatami mats in the Japanese-style room were so soft and flimsy that it felt like the floor might collapse. What surprised me the most was the bidet toilet, which was clearly an add-on. After washing my bottom, I pressed the stop button and the shower stopped, so I lifted my bottom slightly to wipe it, but the shower started trickling out again and I got soaked all over... I think I understand why it was so cheap... However, knowing that, I might consider staying there again.

I stayed at this inn because it was the cheapest among the inns with hot springs in the Aizuwakamatsu area. It was close to the city center, and the open-air bath was very pleasant. There were dozens of shampoos to try, so bathing was fun. The plan, which included breakfast, cost about 7,000 yen per person. However, please note that there are no convenience stores or restaurants nearby, so you will need to go down to the foot of the mountain.

The equipment has an odor and is old.

The room was not cleaned properly, and there was so much dust on the ceiling and furniture that I couldn't stop sneezing. There was hair in the refrigerator and on the futon sheets. The room also smelled moldy. The shower in the large communal bath had no water at all, which was unpleasant. The welcome drink was a tea bag.

Dongshan Moonlight Hot Spring Hotel is a self-service and affordable hotel. The hot springs are on the B1 floor. There are more than ten types of shampoos for guests to choose from, and there is free barley tea for self-service. The outer soup is on the 5th floor, and men and women use it separately according to time periods every day.
