Hotel was ok, but the staff were unprofessional. The guy at reception burped very loudly (!!!) while we were checking out and the young girls working in the restaurant where less than helpful.

The hotel is well located with plenty of parking. However, the staff are not professional and were runming to play ping pong as soon as no guests were checking in.

There is a parking lot in front of the hotel, which is convenient. 24-hour front desk service, very good! The overall environment is clean and hygienic, the price is reasonable, and the price-performance ratio is high👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

One of the few hotels in Akureyri, the parking lot is large, the lobby looks well decorated, the elevator is a very old Kone elevator, and the room also has a retro feel.

The room is very clean and spacious, with a small kitchen and private bathroom. The room was probably a dormitory for international students, and the furniture is very practical and convenient. The sea view room faces east, and the sunlight shines into the room in the early morning of midsummer, which is very beautiful.

I came here with low expectations after reading the reviews, but was pleasantly surprised. Free parking, plenty of parking spaces, very close to the city center. Small rooms, typical Icelandic style. Most of the service staff do look like students, but this doesn't have much of an impact on the accommodation experience. The entire hotel is very clean and tidy, especially the bathroom, which is no longer as dirty and messy as described in previous reviews, and I stayed in the old building. The new building has floor-to-ceiling windows, and you can directly see the snow-capped mountains. If you're lucky, this price is definitely a steal in Iceland.

Good hotel The bar at the reception has seats inside and outside and it was always almost empty. The breakfast is very good, buffet has wide choice but beware the hotel is big and at the start of the breakfast there is a queue for about 20 minutes. So you either come 10 min earlier or in 20 minutes. Clean and spacious enough rooms. Some with basins, some - without. I guess there are en-suite bathrooms as well, but we stayed in rooms with shared facilities done the corridor. Different floors have different capacity and sometimes their is a queue. Location is very convenient - about 10 minutes walk to the centre of the city. Plenty of free parking on site.

Located a little ways from the main roads is this nice full service hotel. There are two parts to this hotel. The older section is with shared bath and the newer building with private bathrooms. I stayed in the older part and I was satisfied with both the room and the toilet and shower facilities., The rooms are reasonably priced. The 24 hour staff is nice and helpful. It is easily accessible for handicapped people, There is adequate parking lot. The breakfast is very good. An added plus is the very good Akureyi Botanical Gardens located on the far end of the parking lot,

Stayed in the old part of building. Terrible cleaning off the room. Big chunks of dust on the floor, and they dont clean under the beds.. We contacted the desk downstairs, and someone came and "cleaned" the room.. When we got back inn, the dust and a recipt were still on the floor under the bed.. Pluss you hear everything that goes on out in the hallways. And the bathroom is small and in the 70s look.

My husband, teenage daughter, and I enjoyed staying one night in a triple (a queen bed and a twin bed) with a private bath. This modern hotel with a Scandanavian feel is centrally located, including close to the beautiful Botanical Garden and the harbour area. The room is large, clean and well appointed. There's plenty of room in the closets as well. The bathroom was good sized as well. The breakfast was a combination of hot and cold dishes, so we filled up until dinner. The hotel was packed with tour groups, but it was quiet at night. The hotel staff was helpful and courteous. When we needed to arrange for a reimbursement of our cancelled whale watch due to bad weather, the hotel manager graciously placed the call to the company and explained to them in Icelandic what our inquiry was about (we received the reimbursement).

Very clean and modern rooms and common bathrooms. Good location in Akureyri centre, within walking distance to the church and shopping streets. Also close to a stop to free city buses. No common kitchen or fridge available for guests.

This basic hotel is a profit - tour group -not guest oriented place. Management fails to consider guest experience - the rooms are spartan dorm rooms with sink, 2 desks, but lacks nice touches. Hot pot but no tea or coffee, no wifi password in room, you must seek it out (I keep telling them to put in room says desk girl), mostly but not totally clean, NO HOT WATER - tepid shower, no washclothes, NO hair dryer after cold shower, heat turned off. Cheap miserly treatment. Breakfast was a mess as big tours line up 20 mins early, 35 mins to get thru line to get first cup of coffee, they were already out of some food by 7:20 am. Would not stay there
