We booked 3 rooms and 1 villa. There is a bad smell in all. We called reception to spray air freshener but that only helped temporarily. The elevator from the lower level to villa level smells very bad. At night time the outside area on the upper level smells of sewage The breakfast options are very limited.

Great location, good dealing and helpful staff, large room, pleasant, clean and complete facilities, varied and delicious dinner and breakfast, DJ and foam pool party and clean sea and its reasonable price were the most obvious and positive points of the hotel. I definitely recommend this hotel and will visit again.

Summary: 1) disgusting drainage smell that filled the room and they took 8 hours to solve it 2) cockroaches and other insects (silver fish and weird flies) 3) stained bed sheets 4) refused to change the room for us (saying it is fully booked) 5) refused to refund us 6) said “sorry” and expected us to be satisfied with that after wasting and ruining our 1 night stay 7) ZERO care for customer satisfaction, the only form of compensation they offered me was 50% discount on my next visit (they were sure I will be visiting again) Details: I want to express my severe dissatisfaction with my stay at this hotel. It is by no means a 5 star hotel. As soon as we arrived (2pm) we were given a room that is filled with drainage smell, every inch of the room smelled like drainage. Extremely bad smell. They took till 10pm to fix the issue. They came the first time and did some work and said the problem was fixed, filled the room with air freshener that at some point i was coughing to since Ihave asmtha and it was very irritating. Two hours later after the air freshener smell subsided, the drainage smell was clearly back, so they came a second time and said that the drainage hole was open and now they closed it. However, the smell didnt go away. At 8:30pm we went down to the front desk, and spoke to the team there, they said they will take care of it. At 10pm, there was no drainage smell anymore, but guess what? Cockroaches were filling the toilet :) Not to mention the lack of cleanliness of the room and the bed sheets, that were changed after we found an insect on the bed and stains on the sheets. We saw more insects throughout the day, silver fish and weird flies. We couldn’t sleep all night, and we checked out at 8am because we didnt want to spend an extra hour in that place. Extremely disappointing. I paid roughly 1,000 dirhams for one night in this place, the least i will be expecting is cleanliness and hygiene, and pest control :). When we checked out they asked about our stay, and we were honest about it, all they said was “sorry”, they didn’t even offer and sort of compensation for what we experienced. We basically spent our entire day calling you the fix the room issues, where all of that could have been avoided if they had done PROPER room inspection before you hand it to us. The drainage smell was AWFUL and there is no way their housekeeping team couldn't smell it during the inspection (assuming the inspection was done in the first place). Additionally, they clearly do not have proper pest control measures in place, because the moment the drainage thing was fixed, cockroaches started coming out of the drain in the toilet. I am attaching some pictures here so you can better evaluate the situation. I cant believe that I went through all of this when I paid nearly 1K for one night. It saddens me to say that they ruined my husband’s birthday celebration entirely.. and “sorry” at the check out is definitely not enough.

Everything is good, beverage, food and service. But there is a big problem with mosquitos around the pool and on the beach. My body is bitten holy. There is no rest and I could not keep calm on the beach. My whole body is bitten and sore. The hotel do not do anything to solve this problem. I was complaining it a few times on reception and online app.

The check-in process took nearly 40 minutes due to unprofessional staff and issues with the booking system that couldn't be resolved promptly. It appeared that half of the guests faced similar problems, leading to long queues. Unfortunately, the staff was unable to resolve the issue, resulting in a delayed check-in. Consequently, our planned activities, such as diving to see fish and turtles, were significantly impacted due to the delay. This initial experience is crucial, and it's unacceptable for a purported 4-star hotel to provide such a disappointing service. Furthermore, the facilities appeared cramped, with minimal greenery for leisurely walks, aside from a vast parking area. Additionally, the food quality was average. Considering the price, it's evident that the hotel falls short of its advertised 4-star rating and may only deserve a maximum of 3 stars.

This is the third time we came to their restaurant, wabi sabi asian restaurant, Their food is really nice I will highly recommend . Staff also was nice specially to Pivithuru whos take care with us and also the chef’s are friendly also. We will come back again and again :))

This “4.5” star hotel absolute dissapointed me in every way possible. They checked us in almost an hour late and didn’t want to give us atleast 30 mins late checkout the management is so strict that they didn’t even want to add iced coffee and made me do it myself. We couldn’t swim because the ocean was fully neon green from the algae and the pool was super warm it felt like a kids pool. In the room, in the lounge and mostly at breakfast flies were around us 24/7 especially around the food on breakfast we could not enjoy a simple meal. Even if they don’t have control over the flies when they’d kill them they’d leave them on the coffee shop at the entrances counter and wouldn’t even pick them up and throw them. We couldn’t snorkel or do any activity because of how green and dirty the beach was. The pool was overcrowded and un enjoyable. Overall the worst experience I’ve ever had at a hotel

During my recent visit to the Royal M hotel in Al Aqa, I encountered several disappointing aspects that significantly impacted my stay. The service provided by the staff fell short of expectations, with a lack of attentiveness and professionalism evident throughout my time at the hotel. Upon entering my room, I was disheartened to find it teeming with flies, which immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness standards maintained by the hotel. Furthermore, discovering hair on the bathroom floor and a lipstick-stained pillow only heightened my unease about the overall hygiene of the accommodations. The situation worsened when I requested an additional bed for my son, only to be presented with a substandard option that had springs protruding uncomfortably. Despite bringing this issue to the attention of the managers, Belial and David, their dismissive response and failure to address the problem left me feeling unheard and dissatisfied. The breakfast experience at the hotel was equally disappointing, with a lack of organization at the entrance leading to a chaotic and crowded dining environment. The visibly agitated staff members added to the disarray, further detracting from what should have been a pleasant and relaxing meal. As I prepared to check out, I was taken aback by the behavior of the bellboy, who questioned the ownership of a hanger in my possession in a manner that felt accusatory and disrespectful. This unprofessional interaction marred the end of my stay and left a lasting negative impression. Overall, my time at the Royal M hotel in Al Aqa was marred by a series of issues that included poor service, cleanliness concerns, uncomfortable sleeping arrangements, a disorganized breakfast experience, and disrespectful staff interactions. It is my hope that the management of the hotel will take note of these shortcomings and implement necessary improvements to ensure a more positive and satisfactory experience for future guests. I believe that providing constructive feedback can lead to positive changes and enhancements that benefit all guests who choose to stay at the Royal M hotel in the future.
