Hotel Kaptan

I had to pay extra money even though I booked already a double bed room. The view was out of this world! The breakfast was delicious. The staff were however cold and the bedsheets weren’t clean enough. My partner and I kept scratching our skins at night and we also found a roach in the room. T

Honestly, we were looking forward to stay at Kaptan since we had such a great time a few years back. It was a great hotel back then. WAS. However, this time around it was less than pleasant. The hotelroom’s minibar on the entirely of the 4th floor was out of order. They tried to switch the fridge but to no use. In the Alanya heat the fridge is very essential. We had to use the waitstaff almost 4 x day to get ice and COLD water. At a certain point they started to become much slower at bringing the ice and water. 45 minute wait is crazy. For COLD water. On top of that the roomservice operators were mad rude. You could barely muster out what you wanted before they would hit you with “okay.” and hang up on you. I give them 2 stars purely because of the location and the pool. We will give them the benefit of the doubt and say we perhaps came at a wrong time for the hotel. We will try again next year and hopefully they have straightened it up by then. I will keep you updated.

Solo Trip I got there as I reserved see view but provided pool view and it was the almost lower level of pool which you feel everyone can see inside your room and for a solo traveler it might be a boring room but the reception first insisted I did not reserve see view ( I charged more by this site for that room ) then when I insisted the helped me to change the room and thanks alot to Mr. Hassan for this kindness. The beds are old as you might feel the springs while sleeping. There were some roof repairment in 6 AM ( drilling ) so it was so odd ! Breakfast is such surprise (very nice and continental) . location is great . Just a quick note: if you get the safari tour in that area tell them to write whatever they say , I do not eat meat and chicken and the guy told me the will have fish in their food picture also shows but they just give a piece of chicken. also they dropped me off the jeep almost 15 min walk to my hotel
