I found the environment to be extremely uncomfortable and unsuitable . The room had a strong, unpleasant odor, and the only fan provided was not functioning.the lack of a working fan made the room unbearable. When I approached the reception to address the issue, I was initially unable to find anyone available. When I finally spoke to a staff member, they informed me that there were no spare fans available, which was both disappointing and unacceptable Additionally, the overall hygiene and condition of the room were extremely poor. The washroom and toilet were in a terrible state, emitting a foul smell that made the stay even more unpleasant.

Its a very old building, the linen is very old, can not be cleaned enough

Great location at the heart of Albany, I drove so everywhere accessible, next door is a French patisserie, beautiful food and place. Good public parking, limited private parking (so dense I must give praise to those who parked). Despite the older infrastructure, it is well maintained and clean. I like how they ask for feedback. Good free pancake breakfast, coffee and first 2 slices free. Receptionist is live in, made it an easy check in at my late arrival.

Room was like a revolving door of people at all hours of the night through the morning! Guests are more long term for their visas and the condition of the rooms/ use reflects that. Bedlinen was not clean and smelt like damp wet dog. Was meant to stay 3 nights but could only manage one! When checking out the office was locked and empty during maned hours. Stayed a couple of times before, standards have dropped.

Reception is very friendly and helpful. Overall the facilities available are very good and the location is good too.

It was a one-day trip, and the experience was disappointing. The main lock on the door was broken, and the room had a strong, unpleasant odor as soon as we walked in. The water boiler and glasses were dirty. Considering the price we paid, it was not worth it. The female toilets lacked tissue paper, and overall, the place was unhygienic, which was a major concern.

Good location

The overall style is cute, but the cleanliness is terrible. Five of the 8 beds are dirty, with beach sand/paint chips/dirty stains on the walls, and the mattress is also very soft and uncomfortable to sleep on.

It's very dark and shabby, with a lot of people, not very recommended. If there are other options, don't recommend it here

The breakfast pancakes were the best, the kitchen and laundry room were fully equipped, and the location was very central, an excellent place, the bathrooms were clean and spacious, the only downside was that my roommates were not very tidy with their things.

It is a cheap and well-located accommodation. The staff is friendly. The cleanliness is okay. The breakfast did not meet our expectations. Two pancakes per person and coffee included. Anything beyond that is an extra charge. Overall, I can recommend the accommodation. If you don't have too high expectations of comfort and cleanliness.

This time I booked an 8-bed room for 5 days. The location is very close to the coach station. It is very suitable for people without a car. The room is not always full. The staff is very warm and friendly. Even if I booked a mixed room, I learned that I have room. A female companion will try to arrange an all-female dormitory for us! Moreover, the cheap price package also provides simple breakfast, which is a surprise! Although the hygienic environment may not be very good for picky people, this backpacker hostel is very pleasant. The toilets and bathrooms are very clean, and the common area is also regularly cleaned. It is much better than most affordable backpacker hostels!
