Nice Place.

We just arrived and showed our passport, we were made to put a wristband on then went to unpack in the room . We ventured outside to have dinner while doing so we noticed our wristbands we're getting tight on our wrists due to the hot weather so we pulled them off . on our return to the hotel the staff member ANTONIO said because we took the wristband off he was going to charge us 10 euros per wristband, we refused and explained why we took them off but he was shouting and said he was going to get the police because we could be imposters even though we had wristbands in our hands and the key to our room , we then went to our room , ANTONIO then asked for our I. D. , I said we have just arrived and we showed our I.D. on arrival check your computer system , he then threatened us again with the police , we went to bed and was woken up at 4.30am by the police knocking on our door, we were flabbergasted by this and explained, they understood us and shouted in Portuguese to Antonio. So beware of Antonio after this he ignored us for all the week we stayed there with no apology from him , he was utterly disgusting and after travelling for 35 years we have never been treated in this manner.

Good position, the bracelet system is annoying. They said it’s for security, but if we have the keycard and they have the copy of our passport, for me useless.

I will start with the positives, good location as we wanted to be in the middle of where the craic was. Cleaning service offered daily on our room which we declined as we like our privacy. How ever, towels and other necessary essentials received when required. Received a kettle on request as I'm a tea (irish brands) addict, when I asked for cups I was given 2paper cups. Not ideal😒. No spoon, however, tea & coffee facility not included in the room. I cannot remember ever staying in a hotel room where this facility is not included. The noise level at night is severe but given the location, it was expected but the TV volume could not be ajusted as it was programed. It was equivalent to our Irish volume as 🔇. That was really annoying 😒. On our 3rd night we came back to our room to find no electricity due to a fault , no lights, no sockets. It took over half hr to locate the problem and do the necessary repair. 🙄 On our second last day I turned on the hair dryer which I hadn't used before and after a bang, flames & smoke appeared which really gave me a fright. I was given a replacement but to be honest, I was hesitant to use it. So just to conclude, as a good will gesture I would have expected a waiver on the 15euro to hold luggage as we had an evening flight but that was not an option. Staff were courtious and abrupt depending on who we were speaking with. We will not recommend nor will we return.🙃

Rooms small but perfectly formed, freshly decorated, beds comfortable, linen clean, fresh and new. Bathroom very compact but very clean. Staff very helpful. Positioned on the strip, noisy at night but that’s to be expected due to position. Central for beach, restaurants and all amenities. An enjoyable stay with a fabulous buffet breakfast at local Italian restaurant, tokens available at hotel
