Vila Recife Hotel

24-hour front desk. Excellent. I've visited many hotels in Portugal, Spain, and France over the past two months, and I've found that hotels with a lively atmosphere downstairs at night are great. This hotel is one of them. It has a very relaxing vacation atmosphere. Lively.

Pros: The breakfast was unexpectedly plentiful, the staff were friendly, and the TV screen continuously played original music videos, creating a very relaxing atmosphere. The pool water temperature was acceptable at the end of October; it would be even warmer on sunny days. Free blankets were available at the front desk for use in the pool and on the rooftop terrace. Cons: The showerhead had a problem; it would be great if it could be replaced or repaired.

The hotel has a great location, right near the beach, and the rooftop view of the night is fantastic.

The property is dated and in need of renovation, especially the rooms and the pool. There's no hairdryer in the rooms, but you can request one at reception. The rooms need updating; they're really bare; a little paint on the walls and a few colorful paintings would be enough. The velvet runners and cushions are now outdated and useless, having been immediately thrown into the closet. In the bathroom, the toilet paper is so soft it crumbles in your hand, especially when the steam builds up when you turn on the hot water. There are two sun terraces, each furnished with loungers. The terraces felt abandoned to me; if there were umbrellas and tables and someone would come by every now and then to bring towels and ask if you needed anything, it would certainly be a different story. The pool also lacks umbrellas. Furthermore, our room was on the same floor as the pool. Unfortunately, we had to keep the curtain closed at all times, otherwise other guests could look into our room. We also had to turn on the light even in broad daylight, otherwise we couldn't see anything. I suggest adding a light curtain in addition to the blackout curtain, which would block out prying eyes but let in light. It would also be a good idea to renovate the rooms, bathroom, and hallways. It's a shame, because the reception area, with its light green walls and round sofa, is very nice. The breakfast area is okay, but unfortunately, there's no variety. Besides cooked ham, perhaps other cured meats could be rotated. Also, add hard-boiled or brown eggs, lactose-free milk and yogurt, some cheeses, change the flavors of jams, add chocolate spread, waffles instead of pancakes, etc. There is a bar, but it's never used by anyone, which is a shame. The staff has always been extremely kind and helpful. I remember Carolina's smile as she checked us in and explained everything to us with a map in hand. A male colleague, also very smiley, kindly provided me with a hairdryer that evening. The breakfast ladies were also very helpful, and once they let us in even though we arrived late. I'm still giving it a high rating, so as not to penalize anyone, but I'm confident that the feedback will help us improve.

Nos dieron una habitación, con terraza a un patio interior y a una casa en ruinas y con moho, me queje, nos cambiaron de habitación, mucho más pequeña, con una ventana, tb bastante vieja, la ducha llena de moho, el espejo ni te podías ver. Pedimos unas almohadas y hasta 3 veces las tuvimos que pedir y me decían que para el día siguiente. Vamos, por ubicación bien, aparcar fatal, sitio bastante asquerosito. Pasillos con poca luz y parecen de una peli de terror, q un hotel puede ser viejo, pero cuidado, cosas q esté no. Desayunos escasos. Las arañas viven contigo.No lo recomiendo
