This place never disappoints, excellent spacious apartments offering fantastic value for money, great people, great poolside bar run by the lovely Ana with fantastic food, what's not to like. I never look anywhere else when I go to Albuferia.

Unfortunately these apartments don't have air con. Desperately need maintenance on electrics. Our apartment had no extractor hood,also the cooker knob print had faded badly making it a complete guess.

Great apartment complex that is highly recommended. We had a spacious two bedroom/2 bathroom apartment with great terrace which was very well equipped and spotlessly clean. There are two pools with ample sun beds available-we had our pick of beds at all times during our stay. The bar is run by Anna who serves freshly cooked good food at very reasonable cost. Michaela on reception deserves a special mention-she is so friendly and helpful and will assist with everything you need. There is a small supermarket a minute away where you can buy whatever you need. You can sit outside it and have an espresso (70 cents per shot). It is around 15 minutes to walk downhill to the Old Town. The walk back is doable but you can always get a taxi back which is less than €5. Beware of transfer drop off/pick up - coaches cannot access the apartments so you may be dropped off and/or picked up at the dolphin roundabout nearby. We used Best4U and chose the speedy shuttle option which used a people carrier/mini van to drop off. We were asked to go to the roundabout for pick up but they could have picked up at the apartments as it was also a smaller vehicle. We did a Tuk Tuk tour of Albufeira with Algarve moments which was very informative and fun. We also did a day tour (Historic Algarve) with Follow Me tours. We visited Silves, Monchique, Cape St Vincent and Lagos - personally I would have preferred to visit only Silves and Lagos and spend longer in each as they are beautiful towns. This was our first visit to Albufeira but I doubt it will be our last and we will definitely stay here again.

Lovely quiet hotel with two large pools and kids pool, with small bar and meals served by Anne who is very helpful. We walked downhill to old town and got a taxi back to hotel for 6 euros. The apartment was a two bedroom two bathroom with three sets of patio doors. It was very well equipped with everything you will need while on holidays. Suitable for families, a special thank you to Michaela who was very helpful and answered our email very quickly. The only concern we had was about the transfer the small mini bus dropped us off last after one and a half hours around midnight and gave us directions to walk up a hill and turn left down another small hill to hotel. If you had difficulty walking it maybe a problem. We were collected from the bus stop and taken to the airport within forty minutes as we were the last people picked up. The transfer was Best4. Overall we had a lovely relaxing holiday and intend to go back.

We stayed here for five nights, and on first enering the apartment we were a little disappointed as the decor is quite dated, however this soon wore off when we realised the amount of space we had. We had a 2 bed 2 bathroom apartment beside the pool (there are 2 pools). the outside verandah was very big and private.the property is spotless. We will definely return again. We had seen reviews regarding Ana in the pool bar and those reviews were all very positive,we are very happy to endorse those positive reviews, Ana is so friendly and on our last day she cooked us a fantastic meal and also recommended a very good wine when we arrived. Thank you Ana you are a diamond. Thanks to Micheala for allowing us to hang around the property and storing our bags until we left for late flight home. The Uber service is fantastic in this area.

Have stayed here on many visits to the Algrave. Beautiful apartments and location. Bela, Michella & Anna are wonderful and go above and beyond. Apartments cleaned daily except Sundays. Walking to the old town about 20 minutes or €5 or less in taxi.

Great location and fantastic staff. Apartments are traditionally Portuguese, and very clean with all the basics - the only negative was no air con. The grounds and 3 swimming pools are well maintained and have plenty of room for everyone. The lady at reception spoke fantastic English and let us check in early, also has great recommendations for restaurants and activities which she helped us book. Anna , the lady who runs the hotel bar kept us fed and watered from morning until night and couldn’t do enough for us.

The most unwelcoming hotel I’ve ever experienced. The one star is awarded purely for the friendly pool bar staff and the apartment being spacious. They were the only positives. Upon check in we were told we had to pay an extra €800 as we were a group of 4 females travelling and not a family. (Discrimination at its finest, I know!) We are aged between 35 - 45 with family’s and children at home. Yet we were treat like an unruly group of teens that were only here to cause mayhem. When in reality we just wanted a nice few days away from our busy lives. We were forced to pay the €800 or they wouldn’t allow us to have the key to our room which we’d already paid for. The female receptionist told us we would only get our money back on check out once the hotel owner had inspected our room but we would ALSO be refused the funds back if we made any sort of noise around the hotel. We felt like we couldn’t enjoy our stay as we didn’t even feel like we could enjoy a drink on our balcony incase our chatting caused us to lose the €800. I wouldn’t have minded if the rooms were adequately furnished but there wasn’t even €800 worth of furniture in there! No air-con, old beds, hard mattresses, 1 tiny TV, shabby kitchen. Not even the towels were changed during our 4 day stay. On check out the hotel owner arrived at our apartment and rudely grunted hello at us while she checked every inch of the apartment and I mean she looked in every cupboard, drawer, toilet, even inside the microwave! While we’re all sat there waiting at 6am. We felt like criminals. Never in my life have I known a hotel to do this and I’ve travelled a lot. We were then rudely ushered to the reception where we were refunded our deposit back onto our cards. No apologies were made for their assumptions nor were we thanked for our stay. Clearly they do not like anyone other than couples or families to stay here. So be aware of that when booking. As a business owner myself I think they need to be more welcoming and learn that they cannot discriminate against people who are not travelling as a family or in a couple. Not every group is there to trash hotel rooms.

We had a nice time. The apartments are very spacious and cleaned regularly, staff were nice but a special mention to the receptionist (can't remember her name unfortunately) who was lovely snd super helpful. Pool area was great we always got a sunbed and on occasion had the pool to ourselves, kids were also able to use their inflatables. There is a shop literally a minute away and the people who run it are very friendly and helpful and is also very reasonably priced. Nice 10 minute walk downhill into old town centre, walk up is very doable however is uphill, my parents 79 and 68 took an uber back each time and was only 3.65 euros. Couple of points... When we arrived we collected our room key from the pool bar and pointed in the direction of our room, would have been much better if we were shown where for the first time personally? as it was across the road and down steps. There is no air con - this was fine when doors were open with just the shutters closed but as there are no nets on these mosquitos and other bugs can come in through the gaps so you have to choose between overheating or being bitten or just the pure annoyance of the buzzing when trying to sleep. Nets would solve this. Beds - 2 bedroom apartment that sleeps 6 - we were 4 adults and 2 children (13 and 11) the beds in the bedrooms were great and comfy but the 2 beds in the living area (which are meant for the children I'm assuming?) are awful, one pulls out from the bottom of the sofa and the other is the sofa when the back cushions are removed, this mattress is about one inch thick and the pull out one was not much better, regardless of whether these are meant for children my 13 year old is bigger than me and my 11 year old isn't far off - as we still paid for 6 people we naturally expect a reasonable bed for all...these need updating desperately 🙏 Overall a nice stay.
