Alcester Inn

The rooms are tired and poorly cleaned for the price demanded for one nights stay without breakfast. Albeit the staff were attentive.

Room was dated, not as clean as I’d expect (hairs in the bed!). Mould in shower unit. Staff were great though.

I booked a room because it was reasonably priced. And there was no availability in my price range in Stratford upon Avon or Lemington Spa or Warwick. The town is tricky if you are using public transportation. As the buses cut off leaving Stratford upon Avon very early in the evening. So if you want to get back to alcester you would have to take a taxi beyond that point. Buses when I was there in early July only run once an hour. The pub seems like a nice place. But that's not why I was there. The room I was in the window open directly in the pub outdoor seating area. So I felt like I was on display and couldn't get the fresh air I wanted. I'm not sure how many other rooms have that problem. The room I was in trapped a lot of moisture. Which caused some rusting on lamps and a long time for towels to dry. The tea they gave me was fantastic and had real milk. And I think they knew about the damp issue because they gave me two towels for two days.

Good clean rooms but no aircon. Quiet and comfortable and therefore excellent value. Note: no food served on a Sunday

our stay was in the heat wave - so we missed AC and had a hot night beacuse of that - nothing the staff could have done. appreciet a smooth check in etc

Room was clean and beds comfortable. Breakfast wasn't in with the price, but we ate there both mornings and the food was good. Staff were very pleasant and helpful.

The hotel is aged but still sweet. Carpets really need a good clean . They need to have a sign saying please be mindful of other guests as you can hear doors slamming and people talking all hours of the night. The staff are very nice and helpful..

Wish they carried regular Coke instead of only diet and Coke Free. Staff were friendly. Comfortable bed, nice shower wasn't too small, very clean.
