It is actually rather difficult to rate this guest house, but it is certainly not a hotel in the accepted sense. It is housed in a nice old building in quiet location set back from the sea. Our room (number 5) was upstairs. It had high ceilings and nice windows and shutters and the bed was comfortable. The housekeeping service was excellent and the room was always left looking nice with lots of white towels. There was a shared terrace outside. The house is set within a small garden and extensive grounds. The negatives begin with the fact that we were staying in late August and Leros is simply too hot for a room with no aircon; it was very difficult to get a good night’s sleep even with the fan going at full blast. Next, the loo/shower room is small and the shower curtain stops about a metre from the floor. We never got any hot water but the shower was pleasantly warm! The guesthouse has two “suites” and room 5 is one of them. However the photographs on *********** are misleading in that two rooms are photographed. We expected a bedroom and with two sofas. We got two rooms, one with a double bed and one with two single beds. If you had two children, this would be perfect, but for us it was a second room that we didn’t use. Finally the breakfast doesn’t really work. The menu is entirely vegan so don’t expect eggs, yoghurt or milk. I have absolutely nothing against those who want to pursue a vegan diet but most people would welcome some non vegan options. On the plus side the young lady who serves the breakfast (in the garden) is extremely pleasant. In summary, the guesthouse has some pluses but also some negatives. I wouldn’t consider staying there again during the hot months.
