The hotel and staff were up to par. One issue after receiving double confirmation of the cancelation of airport transfer, a driver was still dispatched.

Excellent hotel, there are too many advantages, so I’ll name one of the obvious disadvantages, they don’t help with luggage when checking in, it looks very strange for 5 stars

Probably the best hotel in the area.

The location is not in a central place, but the cleaning possibilities are many

Set in its own grounds the Intercontinental Almaty looked impressive when we arrived. We had a good welcome and we were recognised as IHG Diamond Ambassador Members and advised that we had been upgraded from the Premium Room that we booked. We travelled by glass elevator to our floor which gave us great views of the vast atrium. The room was spacious but we didn't get the upgrade that we were promised but not a major issue because it was nicely decorated and there were great views of the surrounding area and the mountains in the distance. There was a complimentary enhanced fruit platter arranged on the coffee which was highly appreciated. The bathroom was fine with a powerful shower and large bathtub, wall mounted soap dispensers were provided. We had access to the Club Lounge and we found it extremely impressive. The lounge was nicely appointed and had a nice offering of food and drinks available throughout the day with a generous offering during cocktail hour where a nice selection of hot dishes were offered. We enjoyed our stay at the hotel, it was a short distance from the downtown area of the city, the facilities were top notch and the staff members we came into contact with were professional and approachable.

The InterContinental Almaty Hotel is a clean, comfortable, well run hotel. We opted for their breakfast buffet, which was one of the best. The location is good near the heart of the city. The rooms are spacious and everything worked as it should. They provided a nice complementary fruit plate in our room and never charged us for additional bottled water we requested.

Nice experience that i have been through. Location is good. You can taste the turkish traditional foods in the Bosphorus restaurant and enjoy the drinks with the live music at the bar. Staff is very helpful and nice. Special thanks to Mr. Mehmet who made our stay spectacular.

Best hotel ever! What a service! Really liked the atmosphere and location! The staff were amazing and it felt like home! The hotel is close to everything and it is easy to get to. By choosing this hotel you will be satisfied! Also Almaty is very beautiful place itself!

The hotel was great, with a good location, and accommodating and friendly staff who went out of their way to make your stay comfortable and pleasant. The facilities were great, and the spa was good. My only complaint (and hence 4 stars and not 5) was there was no fresh milk in the restaurant for breakfast. The milk provided was long-life ultra-pasteurised milk, which is a significant enough issue for a hotel of this level. I hope it was a one-off occurrence, I did not stay long enough to know.
