We stayed 14 days at this hotel in May. It was so relaxing we didn’t want to leave. Our room was excellent, the maid came every day so it was always spotless. We stayed half board which really suited us. Breakfast was served on the roof terrace or at the sister hotel across the road as was the evening meal, both of which were excellent. The staff were always friendly, helpful and smartly dressed. Brilliant holiday, we will return!

This hotel is a wonderful place to stay. Its location is perfect, in our favourite part of the world. The staff are so friendly and always willing to help. The rooms were refurbished last year and are very comfortable. The real gem is the rooftop bar and infinity pool. It provides a quiet retreat with amazing views, wonderful cocktails and shade when needed. The breakfast is also served on the rooftop where there is plenty of choice. The hotel is right by the sea front in the centre of a small village. There are plenty of tavernas and cafes to eat at. The beach is sandy with watersports and free sunbeds. The backdrop of the white mountains adds another special dimension.

Our second stay at this lovely hotel. Our room was large and comfortable - and was nicely remodeled since our last stay. Staff very friendly and helpful. Housekeeping was fast and efficient. Rooftop breakfast buffet was delicious with plentiful choices. Plenty of parking and beach bars and tavernas right on the water. Front desk was very helpful in arranging an anniversary surprise and communication was efficient. Thank you! Our favorite place to stay in western Crete and would highly recommend.

The staff are what make this hotel - whether they are serving at breakfast, on reception or cleaning - they are very friendly, polite and attentive. Our room was clean and modern with good storage space. We had a balcony which caught the sun in the afternoon. Breakfast had a good selection of cooked and fresh produce as well as jams and bread. Unfortunately, there was an element of reserving sun beds at the roof pool mainly because the lower pool does not catch the sun until around midday. However, when we couldn't find a bed at the roof pool, we were more than happy to use the other hotel where there is plenty of beds and space. In terms of location, if you are looking for a quiet holiday, then this is perfect. It is in a village with many restaurants, directly on the beach which has sun beds and watersports available. You can catch the bus to Chania if you want to do something different, or there are a number of car hire companies you can use in the village.

Just got home from a lovely relaxing week at this wonderful hotel. We were lucky the weather was so good for this time of year. The hotel was excellent, everything was so clean, the bedrooms were newly refurbished and modern. The 2 outdoor pools were superb and the food was excellent (we were half board). The staff were very friendly and helpful. The location was also amazing as it was literally across the road from the beach with a good selection of bars and restaurants (although many were closed at this time of year) there was still enough selection for our week. Would highly recommend the hotel and the lovely town of Almyrida.

Booked this hotel at a week’s notice at the end of the season.It greatly exceeded our expectations.The hotel is very modern,clean and well appointed.The staff are amazing and our food on half board was excellent.The drink prices are reasonable too-try the Zombie cocktail at happy hour-you will not be disappointed! Wanted to try and ‘tag’ a few days on but unfortunately the hotel was closing for the season. Very highly recommended.

We cannot fault this hotel. The location was quiet which was perfect for us. A half hour bus ride will get you to a more lively Chania which we done and would recommend. The food and drinks are very reasonably priced with a great choice. The rooms were immaculate and cleaned everyday. The pool area was quiet which made it easy to get a sun bed. Not sure how easy this would be in the summer though as there is a limited amount. Been to Crete five times in the last five years but this year was without question the warmest. First time in the Almyrida area and would certainly return again. Very Happy.

This is the perfect hotel to base your stay in Almyrida. We have been coming to this hotel for many years and always loved it. The improvements carried out for 2023 have now taken the hotel to a higher level. Bedrooms and bathrooms have been updated in a sympathetic way, with modern rainforest showers, and a nice fresh look. The roof terrace has been refreshed and the layout improved with a better breakfast buffet and bar area. However, the stand out feature continues to be the friendly, efficient staff many of whom have been there for many years. The location is perfect with a choice of restaurants and bars and a lovely, gently shelving beach. We plan to return.

I thoroughly loved my stay at Almyrida Residence. The staff are super, very friendly and helpful. I adored the roof top terrace and swimming pool. Excellent food too. I even had a massage. Absolutely amazing.

We have stayed here before and were lucky to be ungraded to a maisonette on this occasion. Fantastic room, sea view and our cleaning lady was lovely. The rooms have been refurbished with a lot of care and thought. Plenty of storage space, lovely showers on both floors, a full kitchen and the towels changed daily. Breakfast served on the roof terrace. Very comprehensive to say the least. The staff were brilliant, nothing was too much trouble. Thank you for a lovely stay. See you again.

We have been at Almyrida Residence many times and always love to return. This time we even received an upgrade which really topped our stay. The people are very friendly and efficient. There is wide choice of food. The rooms are great and we especially love the breakfast on the rooftop the marvellous view of Almyrida and the sea.

Third time at this gorgeous hotel. Everything spot on except for the surly woman working in the evening at the restaurant. She was rude, unhelpful and miserable in stark contrast to all of the other staff who were lovely. The hotel has been upgraded and is even better than before. The hotel is located at a very lovely town near Chania, many restaurants in the town if you don't want to eat at the hotel but hotel's food selection is super. Few steps to the beach, car rental right around the corner if you want to visit other beaches, towns and some iconic archeological sites. They have very well trained staff and the rooms are clean. I would love to come back.

Amazing hotel in the centre of Almyrida which is a lovely area if you want a quiet break. The staff at the hotel made our stay special as they were so friendly and attentive. The roof top bar and pool is a definite bonus and a lovely place to unwind.
