What a wonderful hotel. The staff were super friendly and looked after us perfectly. The rooms were very comfortable and clean. The spa area and pool were just what we needed. The hotel is situated in the village on a hill and gives beautiful views. The views include lovely forest and we could see the ski area from our window. There is so much to enjoy about the hotel.

We had an enjoyable week at the Alphof. The breakfast selection was very good and filled us up ready for skiing. A highlight is the swimming pool and sauna area - great for using later in the afternoon. Evening meals were varied and there were several choices for the main course.

The most wonderful family holiday we could have hoped for. From the moment we arrived we felt at home, nothing was too much trouble and all the staff were so friendly and welcoming. We came with our two children 5 & 7 for a skiing holiday, fabulous location and the most beautiful location imaginable. We will definitely be returning, see you again soon.

Lovely hotel , the male owner very nice , always had time to say hello and ask if you are ok . The young man on the bar also lovely & all the girls in the restaurant very nice . Food was lovely and always found something we all liked . Spa & swimming pool a nice added extra , pillows were thin and not great but we asked for extras which made them better and wasn’t a big problem . I would rate the hotel 10/10 !

This is a hotel that I’m afraid has seen better days and is too busy to enjoy in peak holidays. You might call it a classic tyrolean hotel but I think it is in need of an upgrade and refurb, and to limit the amount of bookings in peak times so that guests can enjoy the facilities. Our room was spacious enough but was seemingly last refurbished in 1976. Pillows very cheap, duvets thin. The plug didn’t work in the sink and one room was missing a light when we checked in. The food was a bit hit and miss, sometimes excellent but other times stodgy and heavy. I understand that they are catering for 100s of people at a time though so fair enough. The salad bar is excellent. Staff were friendly and helpful and we were welcomed nicely. But then just a few things that pained me: cake is provided for ski return at 3pm but you have to buy your accompanying drink of hot chocolate. Tap water is provided for dinner but you have to pay 2.50 euros for it?! By the time the sauna opened at 4pm the entire family spa and pool area downstairs was overrun with kids and the pool totally full of young boys jumping in, no lifeguard or anyone to say just calm down and let others swim. You just couldn’t enjoy it. The bus to the gondola is ok but there are only 3 in the morning and 3 in the afternoon, miss them and it’s a 5-10 min walk from the böglerhof stop with all your kit. It is packed in the am and you have to fight for a seat (literally!) The boot room is a total frenzy in the morning with dozens of families all hitting the room at the same time and no room for you to sit down and put one’s own boots on. Again it just feels like the hotel is too busy for its own facilities. On a similar note, the car park was overfull on a few occasions and we were scrambling to get back from the slopes to find a spot to park, adding to the sense of panic and stress you just don’t need on a vacation.

We went for our first ever family ski trip with our young son (aged 5) and hoping that he would love it. This hotel and this ski region are ideal for families and we had a brilliant time. We went with Crystal Ski and would highly recommend them for such a trip - well organised, everything ready to get on the slopes and a good app which helps with everything else. In terms of the hotel & the skiing, we found other reviews on here really helpful so hoping that ours will also aid others thinking about staying here. What is great: - location. Alpbach is a lovely little village only just over an hour from Innsbruck airport. The hotel is well situated with lovely views and the ski bus goes from directly outside of the hotel. Great storage facilities in the hotel as well. Even up the mountain there is a good range of restaurants and reasonable prices for Europe. - accommodation - the hotel has obviously been added to over time but there's a lovely blend of the old and new. We stayed in the modern annex and had a lovely family room. Clean and bright and great bathroom / shower. - food - I cannot fault this hotel. Great breakfast buffet with lots of choice and cake/soup for those that want it when coming in from the slopes in the afternoon. Evening meal was 5 courses every evening but the main always had 3 choices you make at breakfast (always a fish/veggie option). Kids had a buffet and ice-cream on tap for dessert. Staff were amazing - really friendly and helpful. Very high quality food too and lots of traditional foods. We loved it. - dining - whilst the hotel is big, you get the same table every day for breakfast and evening meal. Took away a lot of pressure and made it feel like home. - pool and spa - what an amazing facility especially for kids. Pool is heated and ideal for kids (hard to swim though when they are in it). Excellent sauna, steam room and infra-red sauna to ease the aches and pains in the evening. - Skiing - the range is not large but plenty big enough for a family ski trip. They seem to be able to keep most slopes open even when there has been limited snow as they have a lot of snow cannons. The ski school is at the top of the mountain (up the gondola the ski bus takes you to) and the Activ ski school was excellent. We cannot recommend them highly enough - our son had the best week ever and was bombing down blue slopes by the end of the week (in control). - lauser sauser toboggan run - this is at the top of the gondola and open Thurs - Sun. It's so much fun, like being on a roller coaster and very reasonably priced. Even the essential 'photo' it takes towards the end is only €4 (can't imagine that in the UK, would be 4 x the price!). A good end to the ski day. What is not so great: Pillows - the pillows are dreadful (and I noted others had commented). They are lacking in any stuffing and really uncomfortable. The hotel really needs to sort that out. Towels - whilst we had plenty of them for the room and the pool they never got

Beautiful hotel for a relaxing break. The rooms were a brilliant size and we had a stunning view of the mountains from our balcony. Lovely pool area with a separate room full of different types of saunas and steam rooms. My favourite was the one with the wooden heated seats that warmed your back, great for the muscles! We had breakfast and dinner included as well as a post ski snack and the food was amazing. I am a vegetarian and the choice was great. I couldn’t always have every course but there was always the option of at least 3. The only thing that could be improved upon was the communication and service in the restaurant. We had a long wait the first few nights because no one told us we were supposed to make our menu choices in the morning for that nights dinner. Overall however this is a beautiful hotel with a welcoming atmosphere and I can’t with to return!

We stayed at this hotel for a week over Christmas as a family of 6 - 4 adults and 2 children under 5. It surpassed all our expectations. The hotel was fantastic - lovely big room for us with 2 children and good sized Austrian twin for the other 2 adults. Cosy and comfy. As others have mentioned the pillow was quite flat but it didn’t bother us at all. Great shower and heated towel rail in the rooms which was great for drying swimming things. Lovely swimming pool and sauna which we used daily and the children loved. Dressing gowns in every room that you could just pad downstairs in. Food was fantastic! Breakfast was a huge spread which you could pick from, there were lovely soup, cakes and a savoury dish when we got in from skiing each day between 3 and 5. Dinner was divine - 4 courses and on Xmas eve and Xmas day it was a 5 course gala dinner. Lovely big bar we sat in the afternoons and played games and very accommodating to our children. Had read that buses to the slopes may be a bit of effort but they weren’t - it was great. You can get a bus from the hotel(about 9am) to the windishorn gondola but there is actually an hourly bus to inneralpbach from the böglerhof stop which is next to the church and is about a 6 or 7 minute walk from the hotel. We used ski lockers at inner alpbach so never needed to walk it in ski boots! It was ideal. The family run hotel was so welcoming and we never talk about going back to the same place twice but are going to next year.
