Fairfield Inn & Suites des Moines Altoona

Good experience. Was food in the microwave in the room left for quite some time. Had mold growing on it. Pool little small and hallways were warm. Set at 80 degrees. Rooms very spacious and cozy. Breakfast was good. Great location. Staff was friendly and helpful.

You could hear some highway noise in rooms closest to the highway. Breakfast was average.

Very clean, new, great breakfast and nice staff. It was quiet as well which is very important.

The hot tub was amazing! Happy with the free water. However, the shower had no mat, no texture of any kind- was smooth. Which is fine for an adult with good balance. Not so great for my 2 year old who (despite our best efforts of putting down a towel) STILL slipped, fell, hit her mouth and bled. Do you think it’s the hotel’s responsibility to provide a safe environment??? Yeah I think so too.

Lady at check in was very rude on Friday until the manager came out to help check others in. She completely changed the way she was speaking to me and my daughter and was suddenly helpful.

This hotel was very clean. The initial staff at check-in was very polite. The staff changed at 11 PM was very rude. Breakfast didn’t start till 7 AM and most of the guest staying with us had to be leaving at that time. Nice place to say but rude late shift staff. Not staying here again.

The breakfast was good. Quite a few options. I did get into pool or hot tub. The room was clean but very small. Nice quiet place wished i had been paying better attention when reserving. I thought i was reserving a suite but i guess i didnt.

we always stay at this hotel and have been happy. This last time was a bit off- Barking dog in the next room the entire time made it disappointing and the whole place smelled like sewer this time which was really weird- we've never ran into that before here. Its always been so clean and great
