The hotel itself is nice; our welcome by Reception staff was good, and check-in was quick and easy.
We booked an Executive Twin Room. The bedroom was nicely decorated, however the bathroom was in need of an update as well as a thorough clean! Blue liquid was on the back of the bathroom door and across the back of the bath, and dust had gathered on the back of the door, clearly visible when it was closed. There were cobwebs and a dead spider above the shower too.
The mattresses were pretty hard and the pillows could have been better quality, and a nice touch would have been to provide dressing gowns in the closet.
The service in the bar was pretty bad too - I tried three times on my first visit to the bar to locate somebody to serve us, eventually going to Reception, and then was completely ignored for 4-5 minutes on the second visit by staff working in the restaurant until I had to go inside and ask if anyone was serving. All in all a pretty disappointing visit, especially for a hotel that is not inexpensive!
