Very pleasantly surprised, the British butler is very welcoming. The room is clean and luxurious. The only drawback is that the bath water uses a booster pump, so it is a bit noisy.

The hotel was beautiful and friendly. The staff were kind but their abilities in terms of the quality of service were lacking we were served flat champagne in a wine glass. After the main course we ordered 2 VSOP cognacs and 2 coffees. This order was repeated back to us by the waiter sadly 2 French coffees were delivered. On complaint, we were given the French coffees foc. Sad that the staff didn’t have the those necessary skill, as they were otherwise efficient and friendly.

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay, staff are brilliant, so attentive to both us and our French Bulldog, nothing was too much trouble.
Food was reasonable and really tasty.
Garden rooms with a door directly from the bedroom to the garden is a massive plus
