Great place to stay. Breakfast was first class. Alison was a great host and very welcoming and friendly. She made sure there were no issues. 100% recommend and will definitely return

We had a really lovely stay at Lyndale Guest House and would happily recommend it. The location is very convenient, with shops and everything you need close by, which made our stay really easy and enjoyable. Parking was also a big plus — hassle-free and very helpful when traveling by car. The guest house itself was clean, comfortable, and well looked after. You can tell care is taken to make guests feel welcome, and overall it had a warm, homely feel. Breakfast was included and nicely prepared — a great way to start the day. The only tiny (and friendly!) note would be… breakfast never quite feels complete without two eggs 😄 so maybe one extra egg would make it absolutely perfect! Overall, a very pleasant stay with great value, and we’d definitely come back again 👍

Lovely b&b. Stayed with my partner for 2 nights, spotless room and tasty full English in the morning. Great location, short walk into Ambleside city centre and easy access to some great hikes

Everything was just spot on; room clean & of good size, Alison the perfect host, breakfast excellent particularly the bacon, and a great location in Ambleside with free parking. Highly recommended and we will definitely return.

I do not have enough superlatives for this place. Fantastic location (10 mins walk to the lake and 10 mins walk into the centre of Ambleside), unbelievable value (free parking and at other car parks in nearby towns). Alison was so welcoming and the room was gorgeous. A really lovely stay with our two dogs who were made most welcome too! Fantastic breakfast included with plenty choice, we won’t be staying anywhere else in the Lakes now!

All aspects of the guest house stay were excellent. Will definitely be staying there again.

Lyndale We had a few days at Lyndale and couldnt have been better. Host was friendly and helpful, room was clean and comfortable and location was ideal for exploring the Lakes

We had an excellent 3 nights at Lyndale’s guest house. The host Allison answered all our questions about the village of Ambleside. Breakfast was generous. She gave us a parking pass free of charge to a lot that’s about 2 minutes away by walking. 10 minutes away (walking) from the center. Would definitely recommend !
