DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel & Spa Napa Valley - American Canyon

Realize that booking in Napa during Harvest is asking for trouble. Here are the good things: front desk staff was lovely. The staff at the restaurant for breakfast were lovely. Those humans seemed to really care and pay attention. The linens and bed all seemed clean and in good shape. Oh my. The bad things? This is a great example of management or the owner not spending any money on a property. Hilariously stained carpets (”I'm sure that isn't blood”, I said in one of the stairwells). Every wall is sloppily patched or painted. My room had the ghosts of various things that were once on the wall that were removed and paint was used that kind-of matched. Why was my room nicely sized and the bathroom was so tiny? It's been a long time since I've been in a hotel where I thought... ”yea, I'm not putting my stuff on the furniture” It was a quick trip to Napa and I slept in the bed and I'm fine. The hotel is shoddy shape. The staff I interacted with were great. Someone in management is just letting this place crash. Shouldn't really be allowed to have the Hilton/Double Tree name on it.

This hotel was definitely a win for us. For our anniversary we visited Napa and prices are so expensive yet this hotel was very reasonably priced and not far from Napa. Those at the front desk are so friendly. In fact everyone at the hotel was very nice. Breakfast was good and included. We felt very safe here. Would definitely stay again.

We stayed here once we realized how cost prohibitive it was going to be to stay in Napa proper. Save your $ and stay here and drive to Napa. It really isn't that far at all. Friendly and professional check-in. We got an upgrade since it was our anniversary. Big shout out. Thank you. The room was big, clean and modern. Quite and safe. Free, fast wifi. Free onsite parking. What more can you ask? Price was fair. Many amenities nearby. Starbucks. 7-11 & Walmart. Recommended.
