I’m a bit of a fan of Premier Inn but would not say here again. We had booked for 3 nights. Staff were good, breakfast was fine but the room we were in was far too warm. Checked in late Friday afternoon and it felt very warm, tried to adjust the temp, but nothing worked. Went out Saturday got back mid afternoon, it was even warmer. Went down to reception c 15:00, the lady said she would try and find a fan and would get back to me in 10 mins. At 16:00 I went back down, no fan available so I asked to be moved. While this was being organised another member of staff asked if I was the person who was having issues with the room. She said they had been having issues with some rooms since the hotel was extended. We were in room 111, we were moved to 209. As I was handing in my old room key, another lady was complaining about the same issue. We were moved to 209, this was much better although had its own issues. If you flushed the loo, you couldn’t then get water from the tap. Was annoyed that the hotel were aware of the heat issue but still let the rooms which were affected.

Had to stay over at this premier inn due to a car accident. Me and Harrison my emotional support rabbit had a fantastic 2 night stay.Chris the manager was extremly helpful along with Mel from house keeping. I foumd the rooms to be of a very high standard kettle hair dryer soaps ect. I tried the evening which was cooked fresh and to high standard along with breafast which is fantastic value.

Lovely refurbished rooms. Friendly helpful staff. Great location, a 20 min walk into Thirsk or a short drive. The room was too hot and a bit stuffy, the staff provided a fan. The windows don't open which seems fairly standard

This was an advance booking on a free breakfast offer when staying B&B. First impressions on arrival was a clean, spacious and modern hotel with a recently extended and well lit and spacious car park. There were problems accessing our rooms- there was a problem with the hotel's computer system causing an unacceptable long queue of waiting guests. Due to insufficient staffing levels the booking in process took too long by a rather flustered and overworked receptionist. A good safety feature of the hotel is access to the bedrooms/corridors/lift areas were only available via guest room key swipe card activation points. The rooms, though basic were clean, tidy and spacious. The beds themselves were soft and comfy for a perfect undisturbed night's sleep. The wet room part of the accessible room had drainage problems causing an excessive build up of water seeping dangerously close to the carpeted bedroom area. The air conditioning unit did not work until a complaint was mentioned with reception. In addition to the in-room air conditioning units we would also have preferred windows that partly open for fresh air, particularly at night. It would have been better if all rooms (not just the Premier Plus rooms) contained a cooler, a safe for valuables and more room to store clothes in a closed cupboard. Both bedrooms were within easy reach of the dining area. The two course evening meal offer which also included unlimited hot drinks and a bottle of alcohol made it good value for money. We particularly liked the self service style breakfast time with a wide selection of hot and cold food available, though during the period of our breakfast several food items were depleted or empty and we had to ask several times for replenishment. Despite this the staff were helpful and pleasant.

Stayed for 2 nights as was attending family wedding in venue close by. Arrived before 3pm and was offered a complimentary tea while we waited to check in. All of the staff were very friendly during our stay and were happy to help with any requests e.g towel change. Room looked newly refurbished and clean, bed comfy, shower pretty good. Tea and coffee provided in room. Free car parking, just enter your registration when you arrive. Would happily return here when staying in the area.

Arrived early saturday morning as had arranged the early check in for 11am, we arrived at 10.30 and we were lucky that our rooms were ready. Greeted by a young gentleman (didnt catch his name, but he was tall and blond), who then called for a duty manager to help check us in. Both very pleasant and welcoming. Room was spotlessly clean and had all mod cons (except the iron could have been upgraded, it did look like it had just had electricity fitted to it). Internet was easy to get on all of my devices. A very comfortable stay. if there was any gripe, I found that during the night I woke up and there were lights above the curtain, I couldn't work out how to switch them off, so had to remove the card from the electricity slot, which meant I had to get up to put it back in if I wanted the side lights on. Not a big deal, but noticeable. Will definitely return if in the area.
