The 4 of us (school buddies, all seniors) landed at the hotel pretty late at night, like close to 11.30 pm. Check in was smooth and without any glitches. But what impressed me was the service of the bell boys and their courteous demeanor despite the late hour. The rooms were nothing great to speak about, except for it's massive size. Cleanliness of the room was really abysmal.... Being entirely carpeted, it was very visible that cleaning only happened in those parts that were visible to the eye. But if one has a keen eye and looked under the table, it was very evident that no vacuum cleaner had ever been stretched to*that* extent. The bathrooms didn't even have a basic dental kit and the towels and napkins given could've really done with some bleaching agent, deodorants and good quality liquid detergents. Not sure if the hotel had a restaurant or not because we were told to place our order for breakfast and that it would be delivered to our rooms. So while in Amritsar, do as the Amritsaris do.... Order for poori/paratha with aloo bhaji or chole... Exactly what we did and of course we had no complaints about the breakfast. Sometimes i wish these *wannabe* hotels gave a little more *heart* to their business rather than just using their brains. I have a feeling that the hotel is very secure in the knowledge that their location and their excellent bell boys and their service is enough to get them the requisite business. In a nutshell I'd say pay a little more and go to a hotel that leaves you feeling well looked after and cared for. Please do not go by the pictures displayed on their website
