I had an amazing stay at Elephant Hostel! The rooms and bathrooms were clean, comfortable, and well-maintained, and the location made it easy to explore the city on foot or via public transit. Highly recommend to any solo traveler or backpacker looking for a fun and comfortable stay!

The room and the bathrooms were very clean. I also enjoyed the free lemonade they offered at checkin.

This hostel is of incredibly high quality. The decor is beautiful, the private spaces are excellent, and the atmosphere is really good. I stayed for two nights and slept perfectly soundly, even without earplugs! Plus, the price wasn't significantly higher than the average for hostels.

The location is about a 25-minute walk from the main tourist attractions. With the metro and tram nearby, it's quite convenient for sightseeing. I stayed in a dormitory, but I was assigned the top bunk of a triple-decker bed, which was a bit of a hassle to climb up and down from.

Staff are friendly. Bike hire and laundry room. Elephant hostel isn’t far from Amsterdam Centraal station.

The room was excellent, and the environment was great too.

Highly recommend this hostel! I stayed in a 9-person, all-female dorm. The lockers are self-locking, and you get fresh sheets, duvet cover, and pillowcase to put on yourself. 👍

This hostel is conveniently located close to the tram station, making it easy to get to all the attractions. The front desk staff are enthusiastic, lively, and always happy to help with any issues. Both the rooms and bathrooms are consistently kept clean by dedicated staff. The lobby is classically elegant with a peaceful atmosphere.

Although it was a 15-bed dorm, I stayed in a loft area with only three beds, which made it very comfortable. However, I found some hair and food crumbs on the mattress, and there were earplugs under it, which made me question the cleanliness. Also, at check-in, the staff was having a long conversation with the previous guest while handling the process, so I had to wait for over 15 minutes 😢. On the positive side, bath towels and a hairdryer were provided, and I was happy to receive a welcome drink and a stroopwafel. The lockers could also be opened with the room key, which was very convenient.

Excellent hotel! The hygiene is top-notch, and they provide fresh bedding that you put on yourself. The location is also great, right next to a tram station, making it super convenient to get to the central train station. The staff are friendly and helpful. Plus, the decor is really stylish and well-designed. Highly recommend!

This hostel is absolutely fantastic! The staff are so warm and attentive. Because the weather was quite cold, they provided hot water every day, which was a nice touch. The tram stop is less than a two-minute walk away, and the history museum is literally 30 seconds on foot. It's super convenient for getting to all the attractions. Plus, they have free dessert-making activities every afternoon. Honestly, the staff are amazing – this is the best hostel experience I've ever had.

Clean rooms, quiet neighborhood, friendly staff. Only suggestion for this place would be to improve air circulation in the lobby, as it was smelling like burnt toast all the time, which made it difficult for me to sit down and do work in the area.

Great location - very close to central but far enough to be peaceful and quiet. Everything feels so high quality and meticulous. In-house pricing for food and drinks are reasonable too! Probably the best hostel you can stay at.

First time seeing an elevator like this, felt like an antique. The lobby is on the 1.5 floor, beautifully and elaborately decorated. I think I got a complimentary coffee (voucher) upon check-in. So many other places I wanted to eat, so I didn't use up my stomach capacity here. It's a mixed-gender dorm with curtains, the bed is quite spacious and very clean.
