The Hyve Capsule Hostel Amsterdam

The hotel is about a 15-minute bus ride from the city center. If you take bus number 21 from Amsterdam Centraal and get off at Solebaystraat, it's then a 5-6 minute walk. You can also reach the hotel within a 5-minute distance from Schiphol Airport by taking two trams with a transfer. The surrounding area is quieter, not as crowded or noisy as the city center. But since it's still easily accessible to the center, I was very happy with the peaceful location. The hotel operates somewhat like a hybrid between a hostel and a hotel, with small private rooms. Toilets and showers are shared. There are separate ones for men and women, as well as mixed-use facilities. The rooms, toilets, showers, and shared kitchen area were all very clean. As a solo female traveler, I only needed a place to sleep, and I was very satisfied. The rooms are generally very small and windowless. But aside from that, I didn't experience anything negative. If you're just using the hotel to sleep, it's perfectly adequate. All the staff were very sweet and helpful. It's a good option in terms of value for money.

You can hear everything clearly from other rooms, but it's clean and the service is good.

It's very new, definitely renovated last year. But it's only suitable for a one-night stay, too small... However, communication with Trip.com customer service was also very difficult. The hotel gave me an invoice for 600 RMB for the room, while Trip.com booked it for over 900, claiming a 300 service fee. 😅😅😅
