The Hotel Okura, with over fifty years of history, truly embodies Japanese quality: from the bedding to the service and dining, everything is top-notch. The rooms are also very spacious, even larger than those at the Kyoto Okura. It seems to have been renovated within the past few years, as all the facilities are excellent. For breakfast, similar to other hotels in Europe and the UK, you can order an egg dish in addition to the buffet. I chose the omelet both days.

This was by far the most satisfying hotel on our trip to Europe. The facilities were perfect, and unlike most places in Europe where you pay for everything, this hotel provided a complimentary still water and a sparkling water bottle daily. The executive lounge room type was incredibly affordable. We could grab a soft drink before heading out and upon returning, and they even offered free Japanese beer and some snacks. I thought the breakfast at the lounge in the mornings was quite good too – perfect for a quick bite if you can't make it to regular breakfast. Plus, the lounge view was fantastic! 👍
