Traveled here with crystal so there was a distinct lack of information before I booked. The flight and transfer was great, no toilets on bus but you do stop for a break half way. Now, when you arrive at Pas De La Casa you get off the bus at the bottom of the hill, your bags are then stacked high in a separate van and transported to your hotel. You then have to follow a rep up the hill at a pace she is used to, but due to the altitude you are not!! So keep up as all she did was call out the names of every hotel as she passed them without stopping. Manzano is almost at the top of the hill, but honestly the climb is not that bad if you don’t rush. On arrival you have to check in and pay a E150 deposit (card or cash), have pictures taken of all adult passports and you bags eventually turn up outside. No ski/board gear is allowed upstairs so this has to be put in the ample sized ski lockers. There is no heated boot rack, just shelves, but surprisingly all dry and warm in the morning. Now the room, we had a small safe there, just big enough to hold passports and phones or a wii switch, you can’t fit a tablet in there unless its small. No deposit needed. The decor is dated and desperately needs a revamp, its like the 70/80s in there. Very thing has had a repair, not a replacement, but, when you hear about how some of the big party groups have behaved and you see the covered holes in doors, walls and cracked glass, do you blame them? There is a list of all contents and prices to replace on the door of apar**ent and a list of rules on the 1990 style yellow plastic microwave. Our kettle had worn wires from the base to the plug and can see the insulation wearing, kettle was also yellow after originally being white. Bathroom…. Omg!!! Black mould on ceiling, toilet would not flush everything away, took 3-4 flushes. Water was hot and shower over the bath was ok, just sure shower curtain is inside the bath. They don’t like to give you toilet roll for some reason here, 5 of us in the room and we were given 2 rolls for the week, when asked for more, was told “there is a shortage of toilet roll in the whole resort!” Funny thing was, the supermarkets were stacked high with them !!! Beds were comfortable, duvet was hot, too hot for me as were the rooms and could not find a way to reduce temp. Duvet covers were not sealed at feet so by the morning they were almost half way up the duvet. We didn’t even attempt to cook in the apar**ent, we ate out. Breakfast downstairs was ok, good sausages and bacon E12.50 Main meals in Pas average E15pp deserts E6-8pp beer 33cl for E4. On the mountain about the same price. Best breakfast we had was at the Boulangerie Artisan just by the gondola on Av d’encamp Very icy slopes on pas side when there, much better conditions over the other side of mountain. If there is good snow and you are capable, you can ski back close to the apar**ents saving a walk up the hill, or you can get off at the highest building on the
