Ann Arbor Regent Hotel and Suites

We have stayed at this hotel on a few other trips to U of M Hospital and found everything to be great. This trip was not. The smell from the cleaning products was overwhelming. Luckily we were able to open an exterior window to air the room out to make it more tolerable. Then there was the issue with hair in both beds. The beds appeared to be freshly made but we found hair in both of them. We are giving the hotel the benefit of the doubt and hoping it was from the cleaning person. Just not a pleasant thing to find when you are tired from driving and have several doctor appointments the next day. Breakfast was a nice treat to have before running out the door.

The employees were very friendly. The hotel was nice. Seems alot of wasted space. Only problem was I asked for a room, when I booked, for the top floor next to the outside so that there would be only one room next to ours. Well we were in the middle with rooms on both sides. The room on our right had persons in it that were banging on the wall all night, showering at 2 am. We got absolutely no sleep. I'm not one to complain. We are senior citizens. So the experience was not fun. That's not the hotels fault since I didn't complain, but that was our experience. Next time I'll make sure I get the room I ask for.

Enjoyed ourselves

Great hotel, one of the best hotel stays we’ve had in a while. We would most definitely stay here again. Convenient location right off the highway, very clean and well-maintained, nice pool area, and very comfortable beds.

Clean though a slight musty smell. Breakfast eggs were awful, strange yellowish spongy disks, maybe made from a powder? Very basic breakfast fare. Staff was very nice.
