Pre-check in details not sent beforehand so we had to complete procedures outside at night. Once done, all ok.

There are many restaurants and shops in Ann Arbor. Because of the electronic management, there are basically no waiters. All communication is done by phone or email.

FOR YOUR OWN SAFETY, DO NOT BOOK AT THIS HOTEL! My husband and I have stayed at this hotel exactly two times. Both experiences were horrible, and I believe the property managers of this establishment know the risks of how they operate, but they choose to overlook the safety of their guests to make a profit. DO NOT BOOK HERE!!!! The first time we stayed we had tickets to a show at the comedy club in the building. Friends of ours also booked a room as well. That night a fight broke out on the floor below us and our friends had somebody bludgeoned with a pistol against their hotel door at 4am. As soon as someone from the commotion heard sirens, they shouted, “POLICE ARE COMING! EVERYBODYS GOTTA GO!” They all scattered just before the police arrived. We were escorted out just as they were bringing in the battering ram to access the room in question because the SWAT officers couldn’t get access to it. There wasn’t a single staff member on site to help. On our way out that night, we witnessed blood on the walls and ceilings of the halls and elevator. It was horrific. We didn’t think it was possible that something like that could happen again. Surely they had put safety protocols in place to prevent it, and we were just in the wrong place at the wrong time. They were nice rooms, and the location was in a busy downtown of a safe city. We weighed our options and decided to try again. We booked an overnight stay, because we had tickets to a concert around the corner. We got back to the hotel around 11pm and made multiple calls to the hotel service number over a period of two hours about a loud party and what sounded like arguing on our floor. Their solution was to call the guest who booked that room to remind them of the hotel policies. We made multiple calls after that. It finally escalated to the point where I thought I heard gunshots followed by a woman screaming in the hallway that there were shots fired and blood was all over the bathroom. Still no word from hotel staff so I called 911. Same as last time, as soon as they heard sirens, they all took off down the stairwells. The police swarmed the hallway and had to come in with the battering ram once again to break down the door because they couldn’t get access to the room. My husband and I were forced to leave our room at 1am. I explained all of this to the helpline the next morning and they said the best they could do is refund me 20% of my stay, a mere $40 for our troubles. When I asked to speak to management, I was told a final decision had been made and there will be no further communication. They said they handled the situation properly and shut it down in a timely manner and that their decision was final. Their customer service is awful. 0 out of 10 DO NOT RECOMMEND AND BOOK AT YOUR OWN RISK!!!!!

DO NOT STAY HERE. It was DIRTY and there are no people to help you check in - or with anything. They charged me twice for a one night stay and are telling me to TEXT them confirmation by sending them my American Express bill to a random text number. Are they kidding? They should be shut down.

Cancellation received a week after the free cancellation policy ended due to their planned maintenance schedule. Calling customer service, I offered for them to rebook me for an abbreviated stay and rate listed on their site to accommodate their blackout date that couldn't be controlled because it's "handled by a 3rd party". The hotel doesn't offer resources to accommodate guests and doesn't honor reservations. Not fair to customers or their hotel staff. These people are grifters.

DO NOT STAY AT EXHIBIT A2. JUST DON’T. I noticed that someone is deleting the bad reviews. But do not believe them if they tell you they fixed the problems with the access codes. The workers tell me every single day there are problems with people getting in! And almost every person I talked to had trouble. A few weeks before my visit I happened to read the reviews and was horrified at the problems with the access codes to get in. We were planning this trip with my 89-year-old mother-in-law, and I knew it would be a disaster if we could not use the elevator or get into the room. She is very weak and cannot stand outside of a room while we try to get in. So I wrote to the hotel and said the following: “We will be travelling with my mother-in-law who is 89 … so could you confirm that you have resolved the issues with the access codes and that the hotel is accessible for someone with mobility issues? And can you confirm that we have completed all of the check-in processes necessary to obtain the codes? (some of the reviews mentioned problems with check in).” They wrote back and said: “I want to assure you that the issues with the access codes have been resolved.” But, oh boy. The issues with check in and the access codes were NOT resolved. I got a text the night before my check in saying that my security deposit had not gone through and could I please enter my credit card again. In that text I also learned that they had changed our room assignment so that we no longer had a room on the same floor as my 89-year-old-mother-in-law, which was also not okay. She needs frequent care and we had to be able to go back and forth frequently and quickly. They ended up moving rooms around, so we were near, but not next to each other, as promised. But I could live with having to be slightly further apart, but I have never had a more frustrating experience in my life than the one I had trying to check in and get access codes. I have FIFTY-SEVEN texts back and forth with Exhibit A2 trying to enter my credit card for identification. 57. That’s the actual number. Not hyperbole. They kept sending me links to enter my credit card and not one of the links worked. Not one. In of my texts to them, I said: “I have now been working on this for several hours PLEASE, I beg of you, send me a working link to pay the security deposit.” And they continued to send links to nothing but the same page over and over and over again. This went on for 2.5 hours!! Finally, the person on the phone suggested that, because their secure website did not work, that I send a PHOTOGRAPH of my CREDIT CARD! A photograph. Over text. With my credit card numbers on it. And the expiration date. And the security code. You know, the security code that keeps your information … secure. The one you should never photograph and send over text. And she made it seem as though I was being unreasonable in not wanting to do that. After spending 2.5 hours just getting my credit card entered, I ask
