Thilaka City Hotel

I had to ask them to clean up the room again. Room was too warm and air conditioner wasn’t sufficient to manage the heat in the room. Staff is unprofessional and management needs to retrain them for a better customer service. My overall experience was

The main reason i score this hotel 1 star is because the hotel manager ripped me off on a tour.. he charged me 130 euro on the basis i was the only booking… he subsequently sold a couple later that day and charged them 80 euro each… of course i asked what they paid, so i was annoyed and told him… eventually he refunded approx 25 euro… not a good experience at all… One other small but interesting point.. one breakfast i didn’t get to choose from the menu.. i was served beef curry..without a choice, from the last nights dinner menu Don’t stay here!!!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The service they provided was excellent. The food was very good. The rooms could be better, needing modernising. However, for the price, it's good value for money.

Roshea, our host, was super friendly and smiling. We asked to change our room from one double bed to two beds and he did with kindliness. The pool was very welcome after visiting Anuradhapura. The breakfast was excellent! 10 on 10!

You can have much better for this price Lots of mold in the bathroom wall and the shower curtain. One of the bed sheet was finish it was like sleeping directly on the matress lucky we had our own sheets. If they are giving you the room next to reception ask for another one because it’s noisy and you will ear the phone ring all night. WiFi is not unstable it’s just not working. The only positive is the kindness of the staff and the location.

I had a fantastic stay at Thilaka city hotel! The room was comfortable and well-maintained, and the service provided by the staff, delicious breakfast 😋😋. I highly recommend Thilaka city hotel for a delightful and memorable experience….
