The Ivy Lake

It was very clean and well-organized, and the air conditioning was turned on before arrival. Mind spoke very good English and lent me a map, recommended and introduced me to attractions, and helped me book a tutu car. The service was excellent.

The staff arranged a tuk-tuk driver for a day of sightseeing in Anuradhapura. They also arranged a driver to move to Sigiriya the next day. Both drivers were nice. The room was spacious and clean, but the layout was simple. The shower was usable, but there was no hot water. When I asked for dinner early in the evening, they said that it was over for the day. Since it was a cottage type, a gecko came into the room when I opened the door at night, and I asked the staff to let it go outside. Also, there were a lot of small insects crawling on the walls in the bathroom, maybe termites? I killed a lot of them. However, the price was cheap and the staff was friendly (although it seemed that there was only one other person other than the cleaning lady), so I recommend it to those who can tolerate insects and geckos.

Unexpectedly cost-effective B&B, very close to the train station, very convenient for travel. The room facilities are very new and clean. If I have to say a little disadvantage, it is that the toiletries are a little worse, and it seems that breakfast is not provided. I didn't ask in detail. 

When I booked the hotel, I felt that Sri Lankan hotels were not cheap. I looked around in Anuradhapura but didn't see any hotels with satisfactory price and environment. I simply booked this one. The trial and error cost was low. It turned out to be quite good without expectations. There are not many rooms in the hotel, and the service is quite good. There is no decoration in the room. There are many geckos outside, but there are no geckos or mosquitoes in the room, which is very good. The hotel offers Western and Sri Lankan breakfasts (basically every hotel is like this), and the portion is very large. I think it is the king of cost performance.
