The hotel's location is excellent, just about 200 meters to the left of the JR line exit. The town is quite peaceful, perfect for a family vacation. The staff were very friendly and helpful, even to those of us who don't speak Japanese. We had the half-board option (dinner and breakfast), and both meals were very generous portions. We stayed for two nights, and the meals were different each day. As for the taste, that's really a matter of personal preference.

This is a cozy, traditional, family-run onsen ryokan. The hot springs aren't huge, but they are very clean and comfortable, and the open-air bath is lovely too. Dinner is served in your room, and you can enjoy the sunset directly from there. The staff at the front desk don't speak any English. You can request a shuttle service from the hotel to the station, but you'll need to load your own luggage into the car.

We stayed at Asamushi Onsen (about 20mins drive from Aomori downtown) as part of our 2025 Spring trip to Aomori area, and booked Tstsumikan Onsen hotel to stay for the night. The hotel location is great. I think all guest rooms come with open ocean view. No private hot spring tub in the guest room but the large gender-specific hot spring pools are open privately to the overnight stay guests from 8PM to the next morning. The stay comes with 2 meals. The food is good and the dinner was served directly in the guest room. The next morning Japanese breakfast was served in the great tatami dinning room, and the breakfast package even comes with free coffee in the gift shop café after the meal. The staff are warm, and the service is good. My recommendation to this hotel come with no hesitation.

The hot spring town near Aomori is well worth a visit, excellent hotel service 90 minutes dinner, breakfast 70 minutes hot spring small and exquisite all night can soak worth recommending place

The service was excellent. The dinner was incredibly lavish, a feast for the eyes. The elderly lady who brought the food to our room warmly explained the dishes and how to eat them, though in Japanese, as her English was practically nonexistent. The room view was also beautiful, with a stunning sunset over the sea. The onsen (hot spring) was also lovely. 👍

I was so lucky. The sunset that night was like a fire in the sky. The next day, the sky was clear. It was like a private hot spring. The food was also great. It was my favorite Japanese hotel.
