My home is located steps from some of the best hiking and biking trails in Marin, actually some of the best in the United States.*Colorful flower gardens surround the house, with a pond and waterfall, summer vegetable garden, many seating areas, and a relaxing hammock with a panoramic view of the surrounding Nature Reserve. *The small town of Fairfax is just down the road (5 min drive). It's filled with great restaurants, shopping, and lots of live music entertainment, which Fairfax is famous for. Fradelizio's Restaurant named Best Italian Restaurant in the North Bay. And within a 30-40 min drive, you can explore Pt Reyes National Seashore, Napa Valley Wine Country, San Francisco, Berkeley, and Bodega Bay. The adventures are endless...... or just wander out the front door, exploring the Preserve and the delightful town of Fairfax. Great place to stay for Deer Park Weddings and events. We even have the Mountain Bike Museum.* Excellent High Speed WiFi Access* Wall mounted USB portals for charging devices.* Queen size bed with memory form topper, top quality linens, and towels. Very clean and very quiet.*Mini kitchenette includes: microwave, mini fridge, electric kettle, coffee maker, and basic utensils, plates, cups, etc. Selection of teas and coffee provided. I purchase the coffee from the local roastery in town and guests tell us that it is great. I am told that folks travel here from San Francisco just to buy the local coffee. *The adjoining deck/garden just out your private entrance is a delightful place to enjoy a meal al fresco or a glass of wine.* Room suitable for two people.* Hair Dryer, Iron, and ironing board available for guests, along with two luggage racks.* Shampoo and Hair Conditioner provided.* Off-Street Parking available.* No smoking of any kind permitted and no pets please.* Guests must be 21 years or older and show a valid ID upon check in.* Wi-Fi is fast and reliable here on the property.* I have traveled extensively all over the world and I enjoy having a peaceful and welcoming get-away for my guests. Come and share in the beauty and this little piece of heaven.I live in the main part of the house, sometimes with one or two housemates. We all work (and play) a lot and the house is always quiet and serene; a welcoming place to come home to. * Guests can come and go as they like via their own private entrance. * I greet guests when it is convenient for both of us. I am often around the grounds and leave interaction up to you as the guest. I like my guests to have the privacy and tranquility they've come for. * I communicate with guests before they check in to let them know if I will be here when they arrive. If I cannot be here upon arrival, I will arrange for your access.* Surrounded by a great neighborhood which is very quiet and safe. You can drive to the town of Fairfax in 5 minutes or walk there in thirty minutes.* Just steps from the house, there are miles and miles of fantastic hiking and biking trails for you to explore. I have amassed a large selection of maps, hiking books, bicycle trail maps, etc for your use.*Public transportation is in the town of Fairfax and cabs are available for pick up. Studio apartment with full kitchen and bath located in Mill Valley. This cute apartment, is conveniently located and makes a great home base from which to stage your bay area vacation. We are close to downtown Mill Valley, Sausalito and Larkspur, 15 minutes to the Golden Gate Bridge, 30 minutes to Muir Woods and Stinson Beach, and 1 hour to Napa. The apartment is tucked into a suburban house in a quiet neighborhood close to useful amenities, Mount Tamalpais and local hiking trails, world class mountain and road biking. Take a five minute walk up the hill to a trail system that wanders along the ridge and boasts big views of San Francisco and the Oakland Bay Bridge.Street parking is easily available. There are 15 steps down to the unit. There is free wifi and Netflix and a DVD player but there is no cable TV. Both properties offer a great deal of privacy. The apartment is located in a walkable flat area, but also steps away from great hiking and biking. There is plentiful free and safe parking on the street.The spaceNEWLY RENOVATED!! This comfortable 1 bedroom apartment sleeps 4 people. It contains 1 queen bed, and 1 double bed in a fold out couch. It has a full kitchen with an outside deck. The deck overlooks a yard that other full-time tenants have exclusive use of. The bathroom has a shower only.It's located two blocks from beautiful Downtown Mill Valley. Mill Valley is only 15 minutes north of San Francisco across the Golden Gate Bridge. The quaint town offers gourmet restaurants, the Mill Valley Outdoor Art Club, cafes, shopping, trail heads and a movie theater. A walkable flat area, but also steps away from great hiking and biking. Plentiful free and safe parking on the street. You can't beat the location.It's perfect for parents visiting their children or grandchildren in the area, or for wedding guests attending the Outdoor Art Club. A pack and play crib is available upon request. With nice linens, plush towels, it's much more welcoming and homey than a hotel room.Easy driving access to San Francisco sightseeing, to beautiful Marin scenery and wildlife. 15 minute drive (or 2.6 mile hike) to the Muir Woods National Monument, old growth redwood forest and to beautiful Muir Beach. It's only a 5 minute drive to the Golden Gate National Recreation Area hiking trails, including Tennessee Valley Road trail, where an easy 1-3/4 mile hike takes you to the beach. Mountain biking is nearby and kayaking tours of the Bay are available in Sausalito. It's an 8 to 10 minute drive to downtown Sausalito where you can eat a meal by the water or stroll by the Bay on the Sausalito Marina. There are ferries to San Francisco leaving from Sausalito and Larkspur.A 45 minute drive takes you to wine country in Sonoma or Napa, or to the Point Reyes National Seashore.The unit is on the ground floor (no stairs) of a 2 story, 3 unit building. It has a private entrance.There is a family living upstairs so expect to hear footsteps above when they are home.
