Bedouin Garden Village, Hotel Dive

I enjoyed my week long stay at the Bedouin Garden Village. The room was simple but clean, air conditioned, and the bed was good. My wife and I enjoyed a swim in the pool, and evenings sitting in the outdoor covered lounge areas. The staff were helpful and friendly. It was just a short walk down to the beach on the Gulf of Aqaba where we went swimming every day.

Good accommodation for divers, not for princesses. I have read good and bad reviews before, I must admit that you may find some lonely hair or stains on the bed sheets, but it seems washed. All the site and bungallows look a bit shabby, but the room was clean. I really don't mind that the TV doesn't work and the wardrobe is 50 years old.. What a pity that the lamp-trap for mosquitoes probably doesn't work as I found at least 10 or more mosquitoes in my room so I almost didn't sleep. Therefore take your own electric gadget for mosquitoes at least, if you are so sensitive for mosquito hum like me.. Breakfast is charged 3 JOD extra and it is served (no buffet). It contains black tea or coffee, arabic bread, margarine, jam, a small processed cheese triangle, salami, boiled egg, hommos, 1 sliced tomato + cucumber, apple and orange. Price for 1 person is unfortunately the same like for 2PAX. There is a small pool that I didn't use, with comfortable sunbeds around, but using a repelent is recommendable as there are hundreds of flies. A fridge in every room is an advantage. Buy all the food and drinks before in Aqaba as there is no grocery shop around. There is a "restaurant" service in the hotel (also next door and oposite hotels) where you can order a limited choice of meals (pizza from 6-10 JOD, fish 8-12 JOD etc ) Beer and other alcohol, basic food and vegetables, canned food and druggstore items you can buy at 3km distant "free shop" at Marina Resort (direction to Saudi Ar.) beer from 1,75 JOD. The quality of accommodation in Bedouin Garden Village is comparatively the same as in the nearby hotels. I enjoyed the hippie-like atmosphere there. (Feb 2026)

Colourful place with helpfull staff nearby fantastic snorkeling and diving sites on short walking distance. Diving centre onsite, also renting out snorkeling gear.

We really wanted to like this place as we’re looking for regular cheap accommodation for diving weekends. It’s pet friendly and right opposite the beach, reviews were ok. Price was very cheap for 2 nights. Room looked basic but fine when we checked in. However we abandoned the room after a few hours at 3am due to bedbugs eating us alive. We checked into another hotel, deep cleaned ourselves and put out contaminated clothes into a bag. We will not be staying again.

We spent 2 nights in this hotel. The advantages: the swimming pool, clean, the tree-lined arbors for shade, the good breakfast, the proximity to the sea (just cross the road), the diving club located in the hotel. On the other hand, our room was not clean. The bathroom and toilets had not been cleaned for a while, while there were almost no tourists in the hotel. The bedding was clean. Recommended if you are not too picky about cleanliness!

We choose it becuse of ok reviews and good price. Owners are very friendly but this js end of good points. Hotel is old and dirty but this was acceptable for this price. In our we had 2 antymosquito lamp even if it smells we went sleap with our kids. During night mlre and more mosquitos was flying in under door probably. It bite ud sl much that 3am we escape from hotel and we will never come back what I advise to all who consider staying there. Single mosquito nets could help but I have no idea why they can’t invest so small amount like 5JD to buy it

Extremely convenient location for the beach and fantastic snorkling. Accomodation is pretty basic but clean. Had a very tasty burger and chips!

Cozy “backpackers-like” hotel. Very friendly people. You stay close to the beach and all the dive sites in Southern Beach. If You are a diver go and stay here. It is cheap and you will love the people and atmosphere. We’ve got new jordanian friends! Thanks a lot to all of You! See U again!

If you like diving this is the place to go, our Instructor Nebrass was really great and was able to cater for all levels of experience. The location is perfect, right next to all the local dive sites. If you’re coming to Jordan to dive don’t be fooled into staying Aqaba, it’s better to stay here on south beach and have a 5 minute ride to the sites, rather than having to pay twice as much to get a boat. Plenty of reefs and wrecks to explore, in a week we only touched the surface (no pun intended) As Arnold once said.. “I’ll be back”
