Best Western Arcata Inn

The staff and service at this hotel were great. I really appreciate it them and what they try to do. My only complaint was the carpet was a little bit dirty in the room. And there seems to be a lot of homelessness in the neighborhood of this hotel and the ones near it. That's not something they can help and in fact they're being compassionate I think with the people which I think is great. But it does make you feel a little unsafe at times.

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it seemed older, and we did not have high hopes. It was clean and seemed like they did some updates. The staff, and we spoke with many, because we always have questions, were all outstanding and helpful. The cleaning staff were friendly and helpful. When we left there was a crew trimming trees and cleaning up the property. We had a pet friendly room that was clean and did not look or feel like some pet friendly rooms we have been in. There was a huge area for our dog to do her business and even run around. There were restaurants nearby and the Round Table across the street was really good. We were there for softball, and it was an easy trip to the University.

Nice rooms, but very small bathroom. Nice breakfast, and plenty of parking spots on the property.

Clean and very spacious rooms with mini fridge and microwave. And the included breakfast it’s very nice with different options every day. Parking lot it’s safe and they also have a pool with a hot tub which it’s OK

Pool was dirty. Rooms are outdated and the carpet seems very dirty. Overall older property but ok for 1 night

Clean and quiet. The rooms were super spacious. Quick, easy check-in. Tip: Use a credit card, not a debit card, or they charge a $200.00 deposit. Never heard of that before. Awesome hot tub and pool. Really great breakfast.

Room was clean but run down a bit, which didn’t bother me, it’s an older building. The breakfast was nice! The people here are nice! The neighborhood did not feel safe! Lots of people riding bikes that looked sketchy. For people with no kids it would be perfectly fine… But the property did have tons of cameras and felt secure, and I never saw homeless people come onto property, but only stayed one night. Other than that the lobby was beautiful and the breakfast and the people who work here were all lovely!
