Great location, the hotel could do with a lift as the staircase is tight and there are a few levels to climb with a suitcase. I understand it’s a local regulation though, nothing they can do about it.

Love staying at La mere poulard. Love everything but the flies which I think it’s hard to get rid of due to the location. It was beautiful otherwise. Breakfast was yummy. Just go early like 8 or 9 am And be grateful… make sure to greet the staff and say thank you. It’s the other way around in Europe just to have your manners. Learn Bonjour and merci … it will make a big difference!!!!

Really great experience and would recommend if you want to visit Le Mont Saint-Michel during off-peak times of day. The views from the room were great and we liked that we could leave our luggage with reception prior to and after our reservation. The room wasn’t as clean as it could be, but somewhat expected for that old of a building and given the rain/humidity and sand.

We weren't able to check in until 5:00 PM. The curtains in the room were broken, and the bottle of water we were told was missing. The room didn't quite match the photos. Delicious breakfast in a beautiful location.

The receptionist was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, our room was in the city center and we could only see the stairs from the window. There was no view of the sea. Also, although this is something you can only expect in Mont Saint-Michel, there is no elevator, so carrying a suitcase is a real pain. It's best to travel as light as possible. The croissants at breakfast were freshly baked and delicious. The rest of the breakfast was neither good nor bad.
