A perfect trip. You should check in early so you can take more walks in the surrounding woods. Lunch or dinner at the hotel must not be missed. You can choose from three or six courses of serious Western food. Although it is a little expensive, it tastes great. .

Beautiful surroundings, very sophisticated and stylish hotel; at the same time not pompous, very accommodating and friendly.

We stayed here for four nights combining bicycle touring and seeing friends. The hotel has a secure place to leave bicycles and plenty to borrow too. It's a short cycle from Arnhem (hilly for the Netherlands and a short section is in the dark forest with no street lighting). It's a short cycle to Hoge Veluwe and Veluwezoom national parks which are excellent for cycling and hiking. There are hikes in the forest the hotel lies in, and it is a beautiful setting. The staff were so friendly and welcoming and really helpful with practical arrangements. Our room (8) was clean and comfortable and very spacious with a lovely view of the garden. The bathroom was in the room (toilet separate). Dinner is amazing here - we had the La Belle Source menu twice and the brassiere once. They catered well for vegetarians and the matching wines were well chosen by a friendly and experienced sommelier. The bar is well stocked and reasonably priced. Breakfast was ok - it's all buffet and it huge choice is a little underwhelming after such good dinners and got very busy at times. This was the only disappointment we had with this lovely hotel. Overall a great stay, good value for money and we would highly recommend it to others.

We came here for an offsite event but this is a location I’d happily bring my family. Beautifully appointed and maintained. We had dinner and paired wines - also really nice. Breakfast had options at the level of an average European 5 star hotel incl. champagne (or some other sparkling wine - I didn’t manage to check unfortunately as it was a full working day ahead). Business Lunch was a lot of food but really well prepared. Bedrooms had drinks, snacks and the bathroom was really nicely done. I stayed in the annexe building but did not have the complaints some of the others had …quite the contrary! My only complaint was that the air conditioner stopped working middle of the night - still don’t know if it was a setting or just a machine that needs repair! All in all, a great experience and a much better bet than staying in Arnhem city.

I stayed here with my father and grandparents as we did an Operation Market Garden Battlefield tour. The Main building was very nicely decorated, however, I was staying in the outbuilding. It reminded me of one of those really nice Scandinavian prisons, not that I have ever stayed in one. The bathroom was within the room, effectively encased with a thin layer of plywood, it was quite odd. For the trip that we were on, a long weekend, it did not make much difference to me. I only had breakfast here which was okay, I cannot speak for the rest of the dining options.

The hotel’s location, nestled in the woods surrounded by beautiful grounds was lovely and the main building is very attractive. The breakfast was fine, though the hot options were effectively a self-service cooked breakfast served under hot lights to keep it warm. That is not what I expect from a five (or even a four) star hotel. What let the hotel down was our room. We were in a superior room in a separate modern building. I originally thought the building was purpose built but I can’t believe an architect would have carved a bathroom out of our room in the way it had been unless they were forced to or they were trying to fit in as many rooms as possible. The room was small and strangely arranged, you couldn’t look out of the windows, the pillows were polyester and the bed was small. I wouldn’t want to see what a normal room was like…

We went on tour and planned to stay at Warnsborn. Pricy but it looked impressive. However getting dispointed was not on the list. Groot Warnsborn is an estate situated in large wood, although close to Arnhem. The first impression was very positive but it turned out differently. What I hate about hotel personnel is their trained attitude that customers are failures but we say this with a smile. or to phrase it differently "we listen to the problem, say they are right and clearly do not solve the problem" We were given a room with the bathroom in a cellar (room 35), although we are not that young anymore this was the last room we should have gotten. I will spare you the details but it turned out to be a disaster. If I was the hotel management I would clearly rethink the concept. Complaining ended up with the sentence "have a nice day". Not understanding what the business is really about is the overall conclusion. Finally the prices are way beyond offering good value for money.

Our last visit was in 2019, before the world changed! What hasn't changed is that the Hotel Groot Warnsborn is still a marvelous place to stay! Warm and friendly greeting from Reception. Two lovely evening meals in the Brasserie de Bron. Really friendly staff on both evenings. The restaurant/brasserie refurbishment (which happened just after our last visit) adds an air of spaciousness & brightness, without being overdone. We hope to be back in two years time. Many thanks.
